Past tenses denotes more than just signifying what is done. It constantly reminds us what we lost, what we left and what we gave up on.

And sometimes you just can't help but feel guilty and regret what you have done.

Fair enough, Past Tenses of words are like embossed letters on a stone. You can never erase it nor change it, the only thing you can do is wait for a future-tensed word to appear.

Our past holds our future, but our present has the will to let the past hold the future.

In the end of the day, it is still up to you.

I can describe what i am feeling right now in one word: nostalgia

nos·tal·gia

ä-ˈstal-jə, nə- also nȯ-, nō-; nə-ˈstäl-\

noun

: pleasure and sadness that is caused by remembering something from the past and wishing that you could experience it again

Seeing Lilly and Jake, cuddling together in front of me. If i hadn't left in the first place, maybe i'll be the one Jake would be cuddling with.

Since, i too, needs some body heat from this terribly cold temp.

I'm happy that Lilly found Jake. But I'm not happy that Jake found Lilly. (Confusing, i know)

Lilly's exes-plural- are jerks, that is why i always shove them off. She had already shed lots of tears for guys that hurt her, and i know that Jake would never hurt her, i'm happy for her.

Needless to say, i'm also happy for Jake, he had a rough past with his first girlfriend. But i showed him how to love again. I promised that i would never hurt him nor leave him, but i did the exact same thing. I'm glad he met Lilly, i know that Lilly wouldn't do the same mistakes that i did.

I know now, that i'm polite enough that i wouldn't want to do something to ruin their relationship.

I need to move on.

I unzip my sling and fetch my phone.

I instantly dialled the person closest to me-number two from Lilly- and he picked up in the third ring.

"Hmm? Harper?" His voice sounds muffled, by blankets and pillows pressumingly. He must've still been sleeping.

"Sorry to wake you up. I need an urgent escape plan."

He sounded alert at my words 'escape plan'.

"Why? Have you been kidnapped? Where are you? Oh, i'm gonna bury them alive if they hurt you! I'm gonna kick their guts and punch their faces until bloods are evident an-" i want to laugh at his concern. Oh, he watches and reads way too much comics for his own good.

"I'm not kidnapped. It's..." I interjected. "It's Lilly." I whispered.

"Did she turn into a werewolf of some sort?" He says hopingly. "Nope." I answer.

"Shame on me. That could've been awesome."

"Really, Finn? Awesome!" I deadpan. "It could have been!" He opposes.

I remember him wanting zombie apocalypse for no reason, he is weird. Well, i'm weird and Lilly too.

But it goes like this: Lilly is weird, I'm weirder and Finn is the weirdest of all.

"I'll tell you all about it later. Just think of an escape plan! Its Emergency number Five-o-Seven." I hiss. "You know, i could just pick you up innocently and Lilly wouldn't mind." He says.
