"Harp, Harper wake up." I hear Jake's voice.

I flutter my eyes open and saw him, way too close for my liking. His blue eyes staring right into my green ones.

"The road must've been cleared up by now," he declares.

I sit up, throwing my feet at the side of the bed. "Yeah, i'll just go change. And fresh up." I walk to the bathroom and fix myself, changing to new fresh clothes- Blue and white, checkered plaid coat over a button-up sleeves and dark denim jeans. Paired up with boots and a beanie.

This time, i didn't wore my scarf, but i kept my hair down instead of tying it up in a bun.

After i got washed up, i walk out of the bathroom and saw that Jake had ordered breakfast pancakes from the hotel.

I checked the clock, hanging by the wall, to see that its half past five o'clock in the morning.

"Who's eating those?" I ask, pointing at the circular food.

"Pancakes, For no one." He sarcastically reply and i shove him off, getting a pancake using only my hands.

Taking a huge bite and swallowing it all in one gulp, i look at the invisible air disapprovingly; pointing the look at the pancakes.

"Not as good as how i cook these." I scrunch my nose up in disgust.

"Since when didn't you burn up the kitchen?" He snickers.

"I took a couple of culinary summer courses. Mum said i have to be ... preoccupied." I hesitantly say the last sentence.

Mum realized i was so in trance with thoughts about Jake, so last summer she enrolled me to two culinary classes; one is baking and pastries and the other one is for the basics.

He shrugs, and i'm glad he didn't ask more.

"Hand me the card for your room, i'll get your luggages." He offers and i did not decline, instead i throw him the card-- which he effortlessly catches.

"Here you go." He pulls up on an easily-recognizable driveway.

Home.

"Uh, Jake you can...come in if you want." I hospitably invite.

Jake thinks about it and goes for the positive answer: Yes.

I knock at the door and the door swung open, revealing my five-year old sister, Liv. Her rather sleepy green eyes stares at me in confusion.

"You didn't tell us you were coming this early." Her cute voice makes me smile.

I open my mouth to speak but i was cut off by Jake's voice.

"Your big sister wants to surprise you." Jake kneels down to talk to my sister.

Liv looks at him as if remembering who he was, then she smiles in happiness.

"Jakey!" She screams and hugs Jake. He looked taken aback but hugs my sister still.

All i could do was to smile at their sweetness.

"So, Are you and Harper back together?" She asks when they finally pulled away from each other.

Jake looks up at me and i avoid his gaze. I felt my cheeks heat up in embarassment.

"Liv, where's mum and dad?" I query, not wanting to keep the topic she asked.

"Oh, they went to buy groceries early. They'll be back soon."

"So, you're all alone?" Jake says.
