A few days had passed and you still hadn't heard from Miya yet. Not like it bothered you, but ever since you realized your feeling towards him, you were feeling a bit uneasy. Was he avoiding you?

You kept yourself busy by practicing and studying. You wanted to admit it, you hated ice skating. It was all fun at first but when your parents started forcing you to play and win competitions, you felt pressured and slowly hated ice skating.

And now they made you live on your own for not making it to finals.

Since your parents are strict, who knows what they'll do if you went against them. You were in your room, studying. Your phone rang. Excited, you got up and went to your bed where your phone was, hoping that Miya was the one calling.

Your expression changed when you saw the name of the caller. You picked it up. "Hi mom", you greeted with an emotionless tone. "Hey y/n-chan! How are you doing? And how's school?". You scoffed at the sudden 'i-love-you-and-i-really-care-about-you' tone. You sucked in all the sarcasm and annoyance and spoke with a cheery voice.

"Everything is fine. I'm feeling a bit under the wheth-", "So how's your ice skating practice? You have been practicing right?". There it is. The mom you knew. " of course. I got first place in the last competition. not like you care about me instead", you mumbled the last words. " Huh, what was that? I couldn't hear you". But you stayed silent. You really meant what you said.

"Anyways, tomorrow, you have a photoshoot and an interview with XX Magazine", she added. "But didn't i tell you I didn't like those things? Why would you do that?", you were started to get mad but trying to keep your cool.

"I was getting a lot of calls and turned most of them down. This is a big magazine company and i thought it'd be nice if more people recognise you. And so i did". You mom said that without any guilt.

You were more than tired. How could she do something without asking you? "Just be there by 2:00 pm. I'll send you the location later", she said and ended the phone call.

You groaned and threw your phone on your bed. You lost your mood to study. "Fuck this", you grabbed your hoodie and your skateboard and stormed out of your house.

Ever since you met Miya, skateboarding has become your comfort sport. It also reminded you a lot about your brother. You got to the skatepark in no time since you were running with flaming rage.

You got up on the mini ramp and skated your heart out. Moments of you and your brother flashed in your head. You stopped for a while, trying to catch your breath.

You looked up at the starry sky as tears escaped your eyes. "Onii-chan. Why did you leave me with those monsters".

AT SCHOOL, LUNCH BREAK

"y/n-san? y/n? Hellooo", your friend waved her hand in front of you to catch your attention. "Don't bother her. She's been out of it lately. I can tell she just went through a breakup", your male friend, Asahi, joked. Tia slapped his shoulder. "Shut up, stupid. You don't know anything besides dating".

You finally snapped out of it. "Wait. Who broke up?", you asked with round eyes. "You did, silly", Asahi joked. "No I didn't-", "We all can tell you're heartbroken right now", he said dramatically. Tia pinched his left arm. "Have you ever considered joining the drama club. There's no breakup, get that into your thick skull". Asahi pretended to be hurt and placed his hand on his chest. "Ahh I'm offended".

"Yo stop. You're starting to look like Jojo", Tia gritted her teeth. Then they turned their attention to you when they heard your loud groan. "I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it", you mumbled with your face on your desk. Tia motioned them to quietly go away as she reassuringly patted your back.

"Hey y/n. What's up? Are you okay?", she questioned. "My mom booked me an interview with XX Magazine even when she knew I didn't like it", you mumbled against your table.

She came close because she couldn't here your mumbles."My mom booked me an interview with XX Magazine even when she knew I didn't like it", you said again. She looked at you in pity and patted your back. "Everything's gonna be fine. Do you want me to come with you?", she asked as you shaked your head sideways. Then you lifted you head and looked at her. "I don't want to drag you into my mess". "But isn't that what friends are supposed to do?", Tia questioned. You gave her a smile, indicating that you were fine. "I'm okay. You don't have to. You should study at home instead", you joked and you both laughed together.

"Yo, lookie over there", Asahi pointed. They sure are inseparable". "I wish i was like that with a girl", he added. "The only reason you couldn't is because you hang out with guys all the time, all the girls think you're gae", g/n said with a straight face. "And what if I am?", he fired back and leaned in close to g/n's face. "Suits you", she said and blocked his face with her book.
