You and Miya started dating for a week. He made you feel happy. You haven't heard from your parents ever since the last dinner you had that night.

It was summer break, you were with Miya at the park, sharing your ice cream. As you both were walking, you saw a poster of a Summer Festival.

"Y/N".

"Yeah?".

"Wanna go to the summer festival together?", Miya asked.

You smiled in joy. "Sure! I'd love that".

As you both continued walking, you spoke. "I've only been to a summer festival once when I was around 6".

He looked at you. "Don't look at me like that, my parents were busy, and..they were never really home", you added. "Why? They could've at least made arrangements to spend more time with you".

"You're kidding. They were never really like that to even begin with. When they weren't home, they would send me to my grandma's house. And the first time I went to one was with her. We didn't go the next time because her health worsened and...died not long after", your eyes focused on the ground.

"I'm sorry. It must've been a rough time for you"

"Oh no, don't be"

Then you both stayed silent. Trying to pick the right words to not offend the other.

The awkward silence filled the air until it was time for us to part ways and went home. You waved him goodbye and he did too.

TIME SKIP

You were laying on your bed, scrolling through TikTok. You got bored and set your phone down and decided to study.

You plugged in your earphones and turned on the music. To you, it was easier for you to concentrate when you listen to classical music whilst studying.

Some time had passed and it was already 11:00 pm. Suddenly, your doorbell rang. Who could be at your front door at this hour?

You ran down the stairs. The bell rang again. "Coming!", you yelled.

As you flung the door open, the person standing before you put you in a trance. "M-mom?".

"Ugh. you are such a brat. Pick up my calls or don't have a phone at all!", she busted into your house.

"Mom, what is this about?", you asked in confusion.

"If you bothered to pick up the phone, you would've known sooner. We're moving".

"We're moving?"

"Make sure to pack your stuff and we'll leave the furniture behind".

"Mom! We're moving??".

Your mother sighed. "Yes, y/n. We. Are. Moving".

"When?", your voice trembled.

"Sunday".

"What?? That's three days away! You can't do this to me! What happened to my opinion? You didn't think to talk to me about this??".

"Well, either way, whether you like it or not, we are still going to Sendai".

"Sendai?? That's on the other side of Japan!".

Your mother stayed silent. "Look. I'm not here to argue with you. I don't have the time and energy to do so either. You want to quite ice-skating? fine. We'll give you that. We're just moving".

You were on the verge of tears. "How could you".

"How could I? Well, maybe it's because you've been fooling around while we weren't around and just look at your bad behavior. It's obviously because we weren't around that you think you can do whatever you want".
