Kol decided to ask Bonnie to go out, but because he didn't want to feel rejected, he decided to ask right away for going out instead of asking a day before.

He took a deep breath and knock on the door, then when the door opened, it revealed Bonnie smiling at him.

"Hey, stranger!"

"Hi, darling!" Kol said with a smirk as he walked into the apartment and she closed the door. "I was wondering if you'd like to go with me to paintball."

"I've never played paintball."

"I promise I'll be easy on you."

"I am a Bennett. I am pretty sure I can kick your ass."

"So... that's a yes."

"Yeah! I'm tired of being stuck at home. Let me just go change." Bonnie said and left to her room.

She opened her wardrobe and tried to find something comfortable but also cute because she thought maybe this paintball game would be the perfect opportunity to tell him that she didn't like him just as a friend. Ever since she overheard him in the hospital, all her insecurities about giving him a chance, vanished.

After they arrived to the paintball place, they got a camouflage jumpsuit and some goggles to protect their eyes.

In the camp where they could play paintball, they didn't had only guns, they also had balloons with paint that they could use as grenades.

They quickly run around after each other, trying to shoot them. Kol had tried to shoot her but she ducked which made him shoot the wall and not her.

"You have to try harder if you want to catch me." Bonnie said as they laughed, then she tried to shoot him but she had no more paint left in her gun, so she had to run to grab some paint balloons.

Bonnie grabbed a red paint balloon and threw it against Kol, hitting his chest. Kol, looked at his chest and then smirked to her and started to threw paint balloons to her as he found them, while she tried to protect herself but ended up getting hit on her stomach.

As they ran around, then they found themselves divided by a cardboard and as they looked up, Bonnie threw a ballon paint against his head, making them laugh and she ran away, but once he caught up to her, she put her hands up in surrender.

"Come on! You don't need to worry." Kol said so she got closer to him, making him smirk and let a paint ballon against her head, making her run away but he quickly caught up to her and let her lay down on top of him. "Don't you get it, darling. I will always catch you."

Bonnie smiled as she look into his eyes and then to his lips and finally kissed him, like she has been wishing for some time, taking Kol off guard but he quickly kissed her back, not wanting to stop this moment.

"You're the most amazing woman I ever met." Kol said after they break the kiss.

"You're pretty amazing too." Bonnie said with a smile.

"I thought you would never admit it. This is truly my lucky day." Kol said and kissed her again.

Elena was seating in a park bench, near a lake where there were ducks and she was feeding them as she enjoyed the inviting sun and she tried to clear her mind, enjoying not being worried with anyone being in danger, sick or heartbroken. For once in a long time, her friends were safe and happy and so was she. After her parents passed away she felt she would never be happy again but thankfully she was mistaken. Then, when she found herself being part of the supernatural world, the days without worrying were less and less so she tried to make her best to enjoy these little moments of pure happiness.

She had found this park that hadn't many people around where she could just collect her thoughts and enjoy the warm breeze.

"I guess you found my place." A familiar voice said, interrupting her thoughts, making her turn to face Elijah.

"Hey! What are you doing here?" Elena asked with a smile.

"I could ask you the same."

"I asked you first." Elena said, making Elijah smile.

"Fair enough." He said and sat on the bench next to Elena. "This is the place I usually come to have some personal time... Clear my head."

"It is a great place to clear our head. I found this place a little while ago and I like to come here and feed the ducks... Enjoying these little simple moments we can have when our lives aren't in danger." Elena explained as Elijah looked at her in awe, wondering how it was possible after everything Elena went through to still enjoy something as small as feeding the ducks.

This was what drawn Elijah to her, it was not because she looked like Tatia or Katherine but because of how after everything she didn't let herself be consumed by anger nor wanting revenge, it only made her stronger and keep fighting to have good ...

This was what drawn Elijah to her, it was not because she looked like Tatia or Katherine but because of how after everything she didn't let herself be consumed by anger nor wanting revenge, it only made her stronger and keep fighting to have good moments and made her be able to enjoy even the most simple and common things life had to offer, turning those simple moments into precious ones.

"Would you like to go on a dinner with me?"

"Like a date?" Elena asked with a smile.

"Yes. Since our family and friends are no longer in danger or sick, I would like to take advantage of it and take you out on a date."

"I would love to go on a date with you." Elena said with a smile.
