Cami is a new vampire and she is still feeling very emotional. Not long after she turned, she and Klaus broke up and decided to remain friends.
Klaus asked Rebekah's help because he noticed Camille was still very emotional and drinking from the vein...
After Camille had a break from her shift, she went to the hospital because she knew Damon would try to spend most of his time in there since he was very close to Bonnie.
As she went to the waiting room, she spotted Damon in the corner sleeping in the chair, with his head resting on his hand.
"Damon... Damon..." she whispered, trying to wake him up without scare him.
"What? What happened? Is Bonnie okay?" Damon asked.
"Hey! Bonnie's okay. I'm sorry that I scared you."
"Pff. I wasn't scared." Damon said. "What are you doing here? I thought you were working..."
"I was... I had a break and decided to bring you something. I know we are vampires and all but something sweet is always good when we have a lot on our mind." Cami said and took out of her bag a box that had cookies inside.
"Good thing we don't have the trouble of gaining weight." Damon said after he took a bite. "This is really good."
"Thank you."
"Wait. You made this?"
"Yeah... Is it lame?"
"No, it's really cool. These are so freaking good." Damon said. "Would you mind if I would save some for Bonnie?"
"Of course not. And what are you doing here in the waiting room?" Cami asked.
"Brandon and Caleb are in the room with Bonnie and she only can have two visits at the same time. Stupid rules." Damon said.
"What if you try to sneak in? Just to say hi..."
"I've tried but Sarah is watching us like a hawk."
"I'll distract her. We are talking about your best friend. You deserve to see how she's doing."
"You're the coolest girlfriend ever." Damon said and kissed her.

Elena was making some tea when she heard someone knocking on the door, so she opened it, seeing it was Elijah.
"Hey, Elijah! Come in. I was now making some tea. Would you like some?"
"I accept if it wouldn't be too much of a bother."
"It doesn't bother me at all." Elena said. "So... what's going on?"
"Nothing much. I apologize for appearing without warning. I was just wondering how you were. I know how close you are with Bonnie and... I wanted to be here for you."
"Thank you, Elijah. That's very kind." Elena said with a small smile.
"I care about you, Elena." Elijah said as he let his hand rest on her cheek.
Elena felt herself getting lost in his eyes and stepping closer to him, and leaning her head to his hand, loving the warmth of his embrace. Elijah noticed as Elena got closer to him and as he started to lean in to kiss her lips that have been tempting him for so long, they heard the sound of the kettle, warming them of the tea being ready.

"I guess tea is ready." Elena said as she went to the kettle and pour them some tea with a smile.
"What's that smile for?" Elijah asked curious.
"I was just remembering the first time we had tea together. You were willing to help me survive Klaus's ritual... Even though you didn't even know me all that well. You gave me your word and showed me from day one that I could trust you, even before I could show you I was someone who you could trust." Elena said.
"I did it because I thought he had killed my siblings... But even if I had known the truth, I would give you that liquid so you could survive. Unlike Katerina, you didn't run. You sacrificed yourself... Even knowing there was a chance our plan wouldn't work out and you would die. I always admired you for that."
"Thank you. And if I may return the compliment, I always admired how you are a man of your word and how you do whatever it takes to protect the people you love." Elena said.
"Elena a lot has happened since we met... And I was wondering... Do you think, and try not to let my intense vulnerability become any kind of a factor here... but do you think it would be alright if I asked you, as now they say it, out... sometime... maybe?" Elijah asked, feeling very nervous which was odd for him because he never felt nervous when asking a woman out.
"Yeah, maybe..." Elena said with a smile because for quite some time she has been waiting for him to just ask her out.

"Alright, maybe I will." Elijah said. "Probably it will be best when you are not worrying about your friend who is in the hospital."
"Probably..." Elena said with a smile.
"But be warned, it will happen." Elijah said, making Elena smile even more.
"I've been warned." Elena said with a smile.
