In the chapters of the years gone by,
Penned are the lessons by people and time.
Specks of compassion, gratitude and fortitude, it evokes;
Skimming through them as you sigh,
Wondering if 'then' and 'now' rhyme?
Smile through the daze and flip the page, to ink your present in gentle strokes.
