In my mind
Having thoughts, all of a similar kind
It gets worse and worse
As if a bound by a curse
The screams and cries to be set free
A chaotic spree,
Resounding inside the proverbial cage
Taking the form of a massive outrage.
Doubled by the multiplying insecurities
Diminished by the thinning possibilities
An eerily quiet breath I heave
A sadness that would never leave
Consumes and destructs
Until the first tear erupts,
Then it flows, relentless
Emptiness, that follows is endless
The cage rattles some times,
The lock appears weak at times
But the key, a wanderer, in my confused brain
I know, the key is I, and yet, to unlock, I refrain.
