Great greet

Talking over the phone
Was my first ride alone,
Several detours and U-turns to reach the location.
Getting on, my friend and I started for our destination.
Our conversations littered with laughter,
As we made it to the food street a little after.
Long hours of talk in a small tea shop
The boba diffusing with a pop.
Yummy as it was, the memories spoken were sour and bitter,
We changed our minds, to focus on possibilities, better.
When the dusk gave way to the night
The place gleamed; a colourful sight.
Ordering food, talking and talking
Catching up and simply munching
Receiving calls of reminder to call it a day
Didn't bother us; we continued to stay
A new conversation began, happy and sweet,
Walking with a skip, my feet,
Picking up the packages, we left,
Non-stop cheer, never bereft.
A big bear hug and with a bye
We made plans to meet once again under the starry sky.
