You and Mikey are childhood best friends. You were both inseparable. You are neighbors with him that is why you would always invite him over to your house and you would go to their house at times.
"Y/N-chin, hurry up! We need to hurry up!"
The blonde kid told you, tugging your arms while running towards his favorite dorayaki shop.
"If they ran out of doroyaki, you'll treat me kiddie meals for the whole week!" Mikey exclaimed.
You chuckled at him agreeing. You'd be lying if you'll say that you like dorayaki. In all honesty, you hate dorayaki as it has red bean paste and you hate that. But since you became friends with Mikey, you started to like them eventually.
You both arrived at the shop, almost in perfect timing as there is only two dorayaki's left.
"Welcome Mikey and Y/N. You're just right in time for the last pieces of dorayaki." The old lady who owns the shop welcomed the both of you.
"See, we both made it in time." You told Mikey while grinning proudly at him.
This made the old lady chuckle at the both of you. You would always go in the her shop everyday at the same time, after school.
"Why don't you eat the dorayaki here today? I made some tea, please join me in my afternoon tea." The old lady invited the both of you fondly.
"Will there be more dorayaki?" Mikey asked.
"Hey! That's rude to ask if there will be more food." You scolded Mikey whilst smacking the back of his head.
"But I want to know!" Mikey said, pouting.
"Yes, actually I reserved two more dorayaki for the both of you." The old lady smiled.
"Then we'll accept your afternoon tea invitation." Mikey beamed.
"You know Mikey, that is considered as being rude. You only accepted the invite because there is more dorayaki?!" You continued to scold him.
The old lady just chuckled at the sight of you and Mikey bickering. She is quiet used to this as you would always scold Mikey.
You were now walking home with Mikey. You really enjoyed the tea made by the old lady while Mikey devoured most of the dorayaki.
"Hey, Y/N-chin, do you think we would still be friends in the future?" Mikey asked, stopping in his tracks.
You looked back at Mikey who is now staring at you. You smiled at him softly while saying, "Of course, baka! We promised each other that we will stay together forever, right?" You pinched his cheeks while laughing softly.
Mikey held your hands while staring intently at you. "Let's make a promise that we will marry each other when we grow up. That way, we will not be separated."
You were taken aback with Mikey's words. You have a small crush on him but you keep on denying it on yourself. "I promise that I will be Mrs. Sano when we grew older." You smiled at him, raising your hand as a sign of a pinky promise.
~End of flashback~
"Hey Y/N-chin, how are you?" Mikey smiled after reminiscing the memories you both shared and made when you were young.
"I brought our favorite snack and your favorite tea."
He neatly placed the food and the drink in front of him.
"I bet you'll scold me if you knew that I fought with Ken-chin again. You always hate it when the two of us fight." Mikey said while staring at you.
"Well that can't be helped. Friends fight sometimes, right? But you told me, we always need to resolve any issue before the day ends. That's why I made up with him afterwards."
At this moment, Mikey could not stop his tears from flowing.
"Y/N-chin, I miss you so much. You promised to be my Mrs. Sano, right? We made a pinky promise."
Mikey cannot stop his sobs as he was hugging your cold headstone. He still cannot accept the fact that you died because of some illness that the doctors failed to treat.
"Y/N-chin, I think I will not be able to fulfill my pinky promise with you. I cannot replace you with anyone else. You're the only Mrs. Sano I want."
