Wait for You (Chifuyu)

"You'll come back right?" Chifuyu asked me with tears in his eye.

I smiled softly at him, caressed his cheek as he leaned in to my hand.

"Of course, I'll be back. Wait for me, okay?" I said as I smiled at him once again, reassuring the blonde boy.

"I'll wait for you."

"Ah, it's good to be back." I said breathing in some air.

It's been 10 years since I left Japan due to my dad's work. I really don't want to go but I didn't have any choice.  I promised him that I will be back, I wonder if he still remembers me.

I smiled to myself as I thought about him. The one and only, Chifuyu Matsuno.

I hailed a cab and asked to be dropped off at the hotel where I will be staying at.

Once I got in the hotel, I went straight to the reception and asked for the room I booked. As the bell boy arranged my luggage, one fine man caught my attention.

He's wearing a well pressed suit and his black hair is neatly styled. He's constantly looking at his watch, checking the time every now and then.

He looks familiar.

I thought. As I was deep in my thoughts, the bell boy called my attention. I glanced at the man one last time and I saw him with a girl who kissed him in his cheek.

I smiled at the scene I witnessed, they looked good together.

As I got in my hotel room, I slumped my body on the bed. I was exhausted from the 11 hours of flight.

"I'll just take a rest for a while Chifuyu, I'll go look for you tomorrow. Wait for me, okay?" I stated as I let my self drift away to dreamland.

Chifuyu's POV

I am currently waiting for Mimiko at the hotel. She said she'll be here an hour ago, but she's still no where to be found. I'm getting impatient as time goes by.

"I hate late comers." I said, annoyed with the girl whom I will be meeting up with.

As I was about to call her for the fifth time, she finally showed up. Running towards me and placed a small kiss on my cheeks.

"Why are you late?" I asked, rolling my eyes at her.

"Sorry, I was stuck in a traffic." She then placed both her hands in front of her and apologized.

"Okay. Let's go. They're waiting." I replied.

As I was about to turn away, I saw a girl from the other side of the lobby. She's wearing a white sundress and a black beret. She has this soft smile in her face.

Wait for me, okay?

Her words ringed in my head once again. The girl has the same smile as her.

"Y/N." I softly spoke as I watched her figure disappear.

"Huh? Did you say something?" Mimiko asked.

"Nothing."

"You're still in loved with her, no? It's been 10 years yet she's still the one you want." I looked at the girl beside me and I can see the pain in her eyes.

"I promised I'll wait for her." I just simply said to her.

"Do you really think she'll come back?"

"She promised. She never breaks her promise and I trust her."

Indeed, she never broke a promise she made with me. She always fulfills it. That's why I'm willing to wait for you no matter how long it will take, I will wait for you, Y/N.
