"I don't think I saw this image on the newspaper neither do I hear it on the radio." Raprinze said as he put the images on the table again. "Though yeah it looks like a beast did this, a very clever beast, I put my money on a Genderuwa."

"That's what my contact said as well, though she said there's a chance that it was a pet crawler or some shit." I explained, I had acquired the pictures from Noella in exchange for some money, Giels told me to follow this case with Dave, he wants to make sure this doesn't lead to a gang war. Giels himself decided to investigate on the whereabouts of the Brigantines that escaped along with Dan.

"Has your team heard anything from the cops yet?" I asked Raz, she's also in charge of the information going around the Hunters. "No, but I'll make sure to let HQ know about this, can I have these photos for a sec."

"Sure."

Rafael is leaning back on his seat, holding a big mug of cold tea, while staring at the table while also putting on a frown, a few seconds later he snapped.

"Wait, you said that the Akuma ambushed you on site right?"

I nodded, confused. "Then there's also a possible case that this was his doing isn't it?"

"yea but this seems a bit too... brutal for him, I've seen him fight and his kills are always straightforward, nothing such as a display antics." It was Raprinze who disagreed, he's lived here for quite a long time and definitely has seen some shit.

"Is he known to work with others?"

"I believe so, yeah, I've heard word about him teaming up with Devilhouse multiple times." Raprinze answered.

"Then that's it, I suggest you tell your friends to investigate around that area, I'd say it's possible that it's the Maanharkr since they seem to have similar ideologies."

"Right, that settles my next move then, Dave should be here soon, in the meantime I guess I'm going to relax a bit, yo Prinz can you make me a cold Americano?"

"Coming right up! As usual with no sugar right?" I nodded confirming.

The group was not in full formation as Aland had to take care of office matters while Vyrox had to handle a riot, apparently there was a riot at the ambassador's office protesting the sultanate, it has been going for at least three months now and was spearheaded by a small opposing party of the sultanate, though the group wasn't deemed much of a threat.

Around maybe twenty minutes later, Dave arrived at the café, I asked him if we need to hurry or we could relax a bit because I really could use a bit of coffee. When he confirmed that we're in no hurry as the day had just started I introduced him to my friends who's happy to meet him.

It was still very early in the morning, around 9 a.m. and you could say I had barely woken up, an Americano would definitely get me ready for the day, that and a cig. All while I also briefed to him about what we had discussed, he's surprised at first but after I explained that most of the people here were in some way connected to the govt. he nodded in understanding.

As soon as I finished my coffee, we head straight for the location, the area of the crime scene is located a bit near the foot of the mountain, they call it lembah rawa, literally "swamp valley". Some locals still do call it by its pre-catastrophe name "Siliwangi Forest". It's a pretty big area near the cloverfield slums -the area of the cleavers. The area engulf what formerly is called "Dago" area, that area is where people would live nowadays, repurposing an old abandoned university, though the area is occupied mostly by the poor.

Just behind the university is a road that leads to an abandoned national park with wooden bridges supported by metal, though the passage of time had allowed the floating bridges to be consumed by nature, leaving a skeletal husk of a bridge with some planks still hanging on, it gave a very uneasy and creepy vibe to the place. Through the park runs a river that flows from the heights of the mountain, but before going to the park it passes through a large valley, this place used to be a main road but due to the abundance of water and the frequency of rain, it has been converted into a large swampland.
