 Neither of them knew when it all started. When the intense fights turned into intense make-out sessions. Yes, they still put on a little show for the crew but once they were alone, well, that's a whole different story. They also still had some real arguments but these were nothing like their old ones as these fights ended with clothes scattered all over the crows nest instead of bruises and injuries. It's been quite a few years since they had both joined the crew and set out to accomplish their dreams. A few things had changed since then, like their "relationship status". As of three years now they have been in a relationship and recently became engaged. However, as smart as everyone in the crew was, they had done a very good job of keeping things under wraps. It has been three years since they started dating and a month since they became fiances and absolutely no one had a clue. They knew they had to be honest with their crew but, to be completely honest, even though they were both extremely tough and were considered to be two thirds of the monster trio, Luffy being the third, they were both still nervous and scared as to how everyone would react. It was a big bombshell to just suddenly drop on someone, especially when they think you've been sort of frenemies for all these years. They had been hiding their rings where the others can't them but not today. Today they had planned on telling the crew. They had talked and finally came up with the perfect plan. When they awoke on the fateful morning of the reveal and put on their rings instead of hiding them. Step one was complete, moving on, it was time for step two. Even though it was morning and time for breakfast, the cook did not care. He wanted everyone happy and in a good mood so instead of fixing the usual breakfast food, he fixed each one of their favorite foods, but he wasn't cooking all of this on his own. Since they were telling the crew today anyways the swordsman got up early to spend time with the cook before the chaos started as well as to help his fiance with the cooking. Now he was no five star chef but his cooking was fairly decent. This surprised the cook when he learned on their picnic date that the other man had prepared all of the food and it was actually good and he hadn't burnt down the entire ship in the process. This was also the same date where they had gotten engaged. The rings were nothing fancy but that wasn't what mattered nor did they care. They were happy and in love. They did get a few stares but one look, more like glare, from the swordsman quickly fixed that. Anyways back to our main story, the cook had a lot to get done if he wanted to fix all of his nakama's favorite foods, and for once the swordsman was happy to help. The cook had to prepare tea, takoyaki, and curry for Brook, hamburger, french fries, and cola for Franky, vinegared mozuku seaweed and fruit for Jinbe, meat (basically any kind) for Luffy, tangerines and other fruits for Nami, sandwiches, cake, and coffee for Robin, cotton candy and chocolate for Chopper, onigiri for Law ( who they couldn't figure out why he was still on their ship as their so called alliance was over), and lastly fish for Usopp. The cook and the swordsman were too nervous to eat anything. Hell, the swordsman was too nervous to drink his sake and the cook was too nervous to smoke. Things that were nowhere near normal for the two, but neither was their crew or their relationship. After all of the food was done the cook began to set the table, except this time he moved the swordsman plate next to his own. As he was finishing getting the table set he called out to his green haired fiance to call the others to come and eat. They were both putting on a tough exterior but in reality they were nervous. Not long after the swordsman called the crew to breakfast, they began quickly filing into the kitchen, well, all except their captain who was being held back so he didn't eat all of the food on the table. He would be released when the others got to their seats and plates and were on standby for him to be let loose. As they all filed into the kitchen everyone was taken aback. Sitting there on the table was all of their favorite foods, which was the first odd thing that they noticed, the swordsman was already in the kitchen and his and his place at the table had been moved. Before they could even comment, their captain had broken free from his holder's grasps and flung himself into his seat and began to chow down. The crew just let it slide and followed behind him to their places at the table to eat. Everyone followed in their captains footsteps and began to chow down on their favorite meals. It was about the middle of the meal when Sanji and Zoro both stood up, getting the attention of the crew. They both looked at each other and both gave a small nod and turned back to the crew. Zoro took charge and was the first to speak, seeing that Sanji looked deathly pale from nerves. He was actually pretty worried himself but not that bad. He was beginning to worry more about how pale his face was, more than telling the crew of their engagement, but still, he spoke up taking his lover's hand in his and cleared his throat getting the crew's attention. He took a look around the room at everyone. Then he began to say "um...there is something that we would like to um..." he started to freeze up when suddenly his partner squeezed his hand and suddenly blurted out "We've been dating for three years", then he clammed back up again, looking just as pale as before. Everyone was beyond shocked. They all sat there wide eyed and mouth's agape, trying to process what they had all just heard. Zoro spoke up again "well, we're not really dating anymore." he took a little pause, then smirked and said "we are engaged", bringing up their interlocking hands to show off their rings. Now the crew was really shocked. Franky had short-circuited, Usopp fainted, Luffy just sat there continuing to eat his meal, and the rest were just lost in thought. The first one to speak up, surprisingly (not), was Luffy. "That's cool but what does engaged mean?" This caused Nami to come back around and smack him upside the head yelling "It means they're getting married to you moron". Luffy looked back at them, stars in his eyes. After a little while the crew was finally able to process everything and the girls squealed and surrounded the couple while the men of the crew just gave them pats on the back and normal congratulations. The only two seated at their places at the table were Chopper, the ship's doctor, and, of course, their captain who was still starstruck. Poor chopper (Who was fairly close to the swordsman) was in tears but obviously trying to hide it saying his congratulations as well. Now about their captain. Their captain, still sitting at the table, starstruck, suddenly jolting up and startling everyone. "Uh...Mugiwara-ya, are you ok?" Law questioned the straw-hats captain. With lightning speed, luffy whipped his head toward law, who unfortunately decided to take another bite of food, and said, more like yelled, "Law, let's get married to". Everyone froze in even more shock than before, well, everyone except for Chopper, who was now in his more human like form giving poor law the heimlich maneuver as the young captain's declaration had caused him to choke. Chopper got him to stop choking but he couldn't fix the state of shock the surgeon was in. Heck everyone was in shock. All of this was just too much for the crew for one day. They just stood there once again in shock. All they could do was stare at their captain, well not just at their captain. Their gazes shifted between their captain and the surgeon, who they could still not figure out why he was still on their ship. "Law" he whined "why can't we get married, we've been together since we made that alliance". This was the breaking point for the ENTIRE crew. "Ok everyone sit down, we all need to have a little talk" Nami partially yelled in a stern tone. "Ok everyone spill the beans. No more secrets. I don't care what it is, family isn't supposed to keep secrets" Nami declared slamming her hands on the table. Everyone sat back down in silence looking around at one another waiting for one of the others to speak up. "Ok since no one wants to volunteer, how about we start with the two pea brains that started this mess" she said as she glared at the two. They both gave each other a stare and a nod as they both stood up and, once again, Zoro was the first to start talking, as he could see that his partner looked pale againand like he was about to pass out. "Well, uh...we um...sort of dated secretly for three years and I proposed so now we're engaged" He said quickly, sitting back down swiftly and stiffly. "Alright, who's next?" Nami asked and this is where their "Esteemed" captain jumped up, standing in his seat and took this time to ''oh, how do you say "shoot his shot". Law could only look on in horror as his boyfriend spilled his guts to his nakama. "Me and Traffy, side note, only Luffy is allowed to call him that, We started dating not long after we made an alliance but now it's over and I Convinced him to join our crew to help chopper and now I want to get married to" he says boldly, turning to look back at Law who was so nervous and shocked all he could do was stare off into space. Luffy sat back down as shock began to set back in amongst the crew. However, there were a few snickers and giggles that could be heard after Luffy Referred to Law as "Traffy". Law could only blush, another side note, he was not a big fan of this nickname but hey what could he do? This is Luffy we're talking about, and continuing staring off into space. "Alright, who's next?" Nami repeated like earlier. "B-b-but I thought we were done. They were the ones who started all of this" Usopp practically screamed, not wanting to have to confess to anything embarrassing. "Oh no...we are not even close to being done, like I said no more secrets. Here, I'll go so that everything is fair. I'm bisexual. Vivi and I actually dated for a while. She even asked me to stay in Alabasta with her but I couldn't leave my family and I needed to complete my dream" she said just like it was all normal as the crew just stared. "Ok, any volunteers?" To Nami and everyone else's surprise Robin stood up. "We technically haven't been keeping a secret as we only became serious about a month ago but..." she says looking at franky besides her who smiles and gives her a thumbs up "...Franky and I decided to start dating" she looks down and blushing and smiling while franky let out a small chuckle. "Alright, is there anyone else in a secret relationship that they would like to confess or anything else that needs to be told" Nami says sighing pinching the bridge of her nose. "I started working on a new song" Brook shouts out and Chopper says with excitement "I have been researching the effects of devil fruit on the body". He was so excited to finally get to share his research with the rest of his crew. "I've got nothing," Jinbe said, surprisingly calm. Lastly, that left poor ole Usopp. "Ok so Usopp, you're the only one left, fess up, what's your secret?" Nami asks now, calmer than she was before. Usopp began to sweat as he looked around the room, or more like table, before he locked eyes with nami. "Um...I suddenly have a case of 'this situation is too awkward for me and I need to leave syndrome'" he says as he tries to run but he is no match for an angry Nami as he is yanked back into his seat. "Spill iit, now," Nami declares in a stern tone. "O-o-okay but you h-have to promise n-not to kill me, '' he says to Nami. "I will make no such promise" she says with a dead serious look. As Usopp locked eyes with Nami he got a surge of confidence and he stood up giving Nami a stern look while getting up and walking around the table to stand in front of Nami with a serious look on his face. "Um Usopp what in the H-H-hell are you doing?" Nami fumbled to ask as she tried to back away from Usopp but tripped and began to fall backwards until she was caught by none-other than Usopp, still with the serious expression on his face. They froze in that dipping position for a minute before Usopp said "ok, i'll go" and with that he pulled Nami back up and into a passionate kiss. As he pulled away he snapped back to his old self, realizing what he had done. Nami was speechless, as was the crew. "N-n-nami i'm sorry th-th-th-th-that was out of l-line I should just-" he said before he was pulled into another passionate kiss by none other than Nami herself. No one could have ever foreseen or would have guessed that these two would end up together but hell, this is the strawhat crew and they were on the grand line so anything could happen. "Wait, you actually like me back," Usopp said in surprise, both forgetting that the rest of the rest of the crew was watching everything go down. "I can't explain why, or how but yes. I didn't say anything though because of Kaya" she said blushing and looking away. Usopp looked to the ground with what looked like tears forming in his eyes, "when I took a break for a little while, I went back to visit Kaya but when I got there merry met me at the door in tears. Kaya's sickness finally got the best of her. He said I had made it back just in time for the funeral.but, she was always just a friend. I sort of always saw her as a sister" he said in a somber tone but quickly changed the topic "but it's time for the great Captain Usopp to man up and move on, Nami?" he said looking back at her "W-w-will you maybe, I don't know, go out with me?" He asked nervously. "Of course you moron" she said, as well as letting out a small chuckle. The happy laughter was contagious and soon everyone was softly laughing except for Brook and Jinbe who had no idea what had just happened and what had been going on. "Ok now that everything is sort of semi-settled I guess, lets finish our food, and also wish Zoro and Sanji congratulations on their engagement" Nami said as everyone grabbed their cups and toasted to the couple congratulating them. Nami then, once again, spoke up saying "even though we all have a lot of questions and things to figure out, I think that is enough for today, oh I also forgot to congratulate Law on officially joining the crew. I'm sure Chopper is happy to have another doctor on board" she said as Chopper Jumped up and down, asking law all sorts of medical questions and surprisingly, Law was not bothered by it as he also asking the young deer about his research so far on the devil fruit and the effects that it has on others bodies The two doctors continue to talk while nami finishes saying "How about we all have a meeting tomorrow to figure everything out and ask each other questions, but for the rest of the day lets just relax and take a day off, what do you say captain?" Nami said looking to luffy. "That's a great idea. I think we all deserve a break" He said with his signature wide grin spread across his face. This made everything peaceful again, as the crew continued to talk and eat. As for the rest of the day, it was calm with everyone relaxing on the deck. This would come to be known as the calm before the storm. But sometimes, not all storms are bad.
