Yerin happily skipped down the hallway, making her way to the tutoring room. Today, she was going to pick up Aera and take her out for food.

She was debating on inviting Jake, but she heard that Jake had to meet up with someone today.

"Aera, let's go~" Yerin peeked her head into the classroom to call out her friend innocently. While Aera was throwing her bag onto her shoulder, Yerin waved at Jake with a smile on her face and Jake did the same in response.

Aera gently took Yerin's hand and the two started giggling, and skipping their way down the halls and out of school grounds to eat together.

Jake on the other hand, is making his way to the school garden to meet up with someone. Once he made it to the garden, he patiently waited by sitting on the bench in the garden.

"You're early." A voice that was familiar spoke, making Jake jolt up and jump off the bench. "Don't scare me like that!" Jake pouted, he doesn't like getting scared.

"Anyways, what do you need?" Jake asked the tall boy in front of him, patiently waiting for him to answer his question. Jake is taking time out of his day to talk to his friend here, and Jake has to go home in a little bit.

"Actually, I asked to meet up since I'm transferring into your class tomorrow." The boy answered his question nonchalantly. "That explains why you were here throughout the afternoon." Jake said while picking up his bag and throwing it onto his shoulder.

"Before you go, who was that girl you smiled at in that classroom just a couple minutes ago?" The boy's question made Jake freak out internally. His cheeks turned slightly pink and he just looked at his tall friend in front of him, "You're stalking me now?"

"No, just curious. You guys seem close."

"Close." Jake thought to himself while looking down. He wouldn't consider him and Yerin close since well..they aren't. They've only just started talking. They do go on the same bus almost everyday after school and talk to each other during school hours. But they've only just started that recently.

"We're not that close. We've only become friends recently." Jake looked up at his friend, his cheeks still slightly pink. His friend smirked playfully at him, "So you wouldn't mind if I snatched her?"

Jake almost choked on his own saliva, he gave his friend a weird look before speaking, "Snatch?!"

His friend started laughing his butt off at Jake's reaction, "I'm just joking."

Jake rolled his eyes and sighed at his friend, "Even if you did like her. I don't think you would really have a chance anyways. She's one of the most popular girls here."

"Ouch..the harsh truth."

"Alright well, I gotta go. See you tomorrow." Jake waved goodbye to his friend and left the school garden. But one thing kept replaying in his mind, something that his friend said.

"So you wouldn't mind if I snatched her?"

Jake in fact, did not want his friend to "snatch her." But he didn't know why. He felt a little selfish, even towards his own friend.

But from the looks of it, his friend seems interested in Yerin. Probably just for her looks, because that's what draws in people nowadays when it comes to first glances.

Which probably means Jake will have to introduce Yerin to him, or him to Yerin. Jake really doesn't want to add another fanboy onto the list. But it's his friend, he won't do anything stupid.

Or at least he hopes so.

Jake had got off the bus since he was at his neighborhood stop. Once he got off he noticed Yerin was sitting on a bench, but shot her head up once she noticed Jake just got off the bus.

She ran up to Jake and smiled at him, "Hi Jake, I got you something." Her smile made his heart beat fast and his cheeks turn pink.

"Actually it's more of for Layla." Yerin took out the dog toy from her bag and handed it to Jake with a bright smile on her face. "You didn't have to." Jake let out a small smile at the girl in front of him.

"It was on sale. I couldn't let it go to waste."

Her smile, what is going to happen once his friend see's that smile of her's? Right now, Jake is the reason she is smiling. But what if that changes soon?

Jake didn't understand why he didn't want anybody else but him to make her smile.

"Jake? Hello? You're staring off into space again." Yerin tiptoed to wave her hands in front of his face, luckily, he snapped out of his thoughts and looked at Yerin.

"Thank you." Jake thanked Yerin with a smile on his face, Yerin's heart was slowly starting to beat faster because of his smile. "You don't have to pay me back." Yerin told Jake before he could say anything about paying her back.

Jake didn't want to argue since Yerin has been quite stubborn as of recently.

"I should get going. See you tomorrow!" Yerin waved at Jake and started running to her house. Jake waved back and made his way back to his home. Wanting to open the gift that Yerin bought for Layla right away.

It was lunch, and Jake was sitting with his friend since he didn't want him to be lonely, even though a bunch of girls are already swooning over him.

"Introduce me to your friend later." His friend suddenly spoke, Jake looked at his friend with an eyebrow raised, "You mean Yerin?"

"Why?" Jake asked, his tone was slightly cold and it caught his friend off guard. "She seems interesting. That is all." Was his friend's only answer. Jake knew, his friend was interested in Yerin. But he didn't want Yerin to be interested in him in the same way.

But Jake knew that his friend would keep bugging him if he doesn't introduce the two of them.

"Fine. I'll do it. Just don't be weird."

The tutoring sessions have just wrapped up, and Yerin peaked her head into the room with bread cheeks. She noticed a tall boy talking to Jake.

Yerin snuck up behind Jake, "New friend?" She spoke while standing next him, her sudden presence scaring the poor dude. "Don't do that!" Jake pouted at Yerin, but Yerin found his little pout cute.

"He is the transfer student. I've known him for awhile." Jake spoke, signaling his friend with his eyes to introduce himself to Yerin.

Yerin held out her hand for a handshake, "I'm Park Yerin, nice to meet you." A welcoming smile forming on her face. The boy gave her a handshake and smiled,

"I'm Kim Seojoon, nice to meet you."
