"What the fuck is this?" Jake's boss slammed his fist onto the table, but Jake didn't dare flinch. He looked up at his boss, who was holding a phone with a photo showing of him and Yerin a couple days ago.
"I told you to stay away from her. Didn't I?! You're good for nothing." His boss harshly stated while Jake simply scoffed. He has had enough of the bullshit his boss has been pulling on him since he ever mentioned Yerin.
"What do you have against Yerin anyway? You're telling me to stay away from her. Don't you think I deserve to know the reason why?"
"That is none of your business."
"Well, it's my business now."
His boss let out a frustrated sigh and turned around, putting his hand in his hair out of frustration. Jake scoffed and smirked, "It's fine, I already know who you are, and I know your intentions."
His boss turned around and his expression was completely unreadable. Jake looked at his boss in pure disappointment, "Mr. Park, correct? You were getting engaged to Lia seven years ago. You didn't want to, but you did it for your mother."
His boss, who is named Mr. Park, sat on his chair and sunk into it, "How did you find out?"
"Yerin. She met up with you recently and.."
Jake sat down in front of his boss and smiled brightly, a smile that Jake doesn't show often at work, "she said that you were trying to keep us separated because Lia was going to be released soon."
Mr. Park nodded, as he was guilty. His intentions were good, and Jake thanks him for trying to protect Yerin in any way he can. Because last time, he didn't, and that resulted in her getting sent to foreign land.
"Jaeyun, I am truly sorry for everything." Mr. Park stood up and bowed. Jake just kept that smile on his face, as he knows that he didn't mean anything wrong.
"There is nothing you should be sorry about. If anything, I should be the one apologizing to a certain somebody." Jake laughed nervously. Just the thought of the certain somebody made his heart skip a beat. He has a lot of working and fixing to do.
"Then go." Mr. Park suggested seriously making Jake flinch. Jake laughed nervously and whispered, "Uh..what?"
Mr. Park laughed at the oblivious male in front of him and said his suggestion one more time,
"Go. She's waiting for you."
