"Yuri!" Yerin yelled desperately while tears were flowing down like a waterfall. She reached out her hand but was pulled away by nurses. Yerin tried to push through the nurses' grip, but miserably failed.

The door closed and Yerin fell on her knees, completely forgetting about the nurses trying to pick her up to take her to the waiting room.

But that waiting room, there was no point in waiting anymore.

Time had slowed down, or more of stopped. It was too early, it was way too early.

Yuri is gone. Forever.

It wasn't the end of the school year, it was only halfway. Yerin thought she had more time. More time to complete the bucket list before she passed away.

She didn't. She never was able to complete the bucket list before that time. All because of a boy. A boy, who was supposed to help her, instead got in the way.

Life threw stuff at Yerin. Stuff she didn't know how to handle quickly.

To Yerin, it was unfair. What did she do to deserve this? Why did her sister have to be taken away from her so quickly?

Misfortune.

How much Yerin hated that word. If it was said by itself, she could stare daggers at the person who spoke it.

___

It was snowing.

It was such a beautiful and horrible day. Yerin stood in the snow, completely emotionless. She didn't move, she just looked at the snow on the floor. Her hands in pockets to keep warm, and the sounds of the children making snow angels were completely cut off by Yerin.

She didn't want to hear the lively part of the world right now.

Yerin felt a heavy weight on her chest, she was going to breakdown any second now. She knew she had to go home or to any place safe before she breaks down in tears in public.

The moment Yerin started walking, she was pulled by somebody behind her. The familiar person hugged her warmly, and Yerin hugged the person back.

How much she missed his warmth. His comforting warmth.

"I'm sorry." The person spoke softly, stroking Yerin's hair gently while she let out quiet sobs into his chest. She spoke to him gently, "It's okay." Yerin missed his hugs, she wanted to stay this way forever.

"Jake, there is nothing to be sorry about." Even during Yerin's time to grieve and her time of need, she is still reassuring Jake. Jake didn't want those words to come out of her mouth. He wanted to comfort her, not the other way around.

A car horn was being honked. Trying to gain the two teenagers' attention and it accomplished just that. Jake and Yerin let go of each other and look at the car that was honking at them.

Yerin saw who the driver was and turned to Jake, smiling apologetically, "I'll see you at school."

Jake nodded and smiled softly at Yerin, making her cheeks turn a light shade of pink. Yerin waved goodbye and Jake did the same. She entered the car and sat in the passenger's seat, watching Jake disappear from her sight as they drove away.

"Why did you pick me up?" Yerin asked, crossing her arms to keep herself warm since it felt much colder inside the car than outside in the snow. Yerin spotted the driver smirking in the rear-view mirror.

"I hope you realize that you have a fiancé, right? You shouldn't be hugging other boys." The woman scolded, trying to sound intimating to scare the Yerin, which was not working.

"You're a horrible person, Lia." Yerin rested her head on the car window and looked at all of the snow they were passing. The car was suffocating for Yerin and she hated it, she wanted to leave this car as quick as possible.

The woman who she called Lia pressed on the brakes, slowing down since they were at a red light. She turned to the girl in the passenger's seat, who was ignoring her and was clearly not interested in having a conversation with her.

"I don't understand why you're respectful with everybody but me." The woman was clearly offended, her facial expressions and her tone of voice said it all. Yerin didn't dare to move from her spot.

"You lost my respect, Lia." Yerin fired back, keeping their conversations short. Talking to the woman named Lia was the most suffocating thing Yerin could possibly do.

The woman scoffed and turned back to the front, noticing the light had turned green and changing the gear back to drive.

"I don't care if I've lost your respect. You're still supposed to call me Auntie Lia."

"So Lia, what have you been doing?" The old lady asked while wiping her mouth. Lia smiled, but it was more of a smirk to the teenagers who were sitting at the table.

Yerin's grandparents decided to host a family dinner after what happened at the hospital. They said that this is a way for them to come together and grieve with each other after such a terrible loss.

"Actually, I've been planning Yerin and her fiancé's wedding." Yerin's grandparents looked at Yerin in complete shock and awe. They looked so happy, but their expressions soon turned into confused ones when they noticed Yerin wasn't wearing a ring.

"Where is your ring, Yerin?" Yerin's grandma asked innocently, breaking Yerin's heart. Her grandma was so frail. Whenever she touched her grandma's skin, it was so soft, but you feel like if you aren't gentle you will hurt her.

"Grandma, it's an arranged marriage by Auntie Lia." Yerin forced herself to call Lia, "Auntie Lia." But Lia wasn't satisfied or happy with Yerin's answer to her grandma's question.

Lia opened her mouth to say something, but was interrupted when Jungwon spoke at the table, "Actually, it was out of the blue. Auntie Lia didn't even ask her parents."

Lia stood up and pushed her seat aside, "I need the bathroom. Excuse me."

Once she was out of the room, Yerin looked down while Jungwon and Sunghoon laid back in their chairs. Their grandparents were in complete shock and disappointment that Lia would do such a thing to Yerin, especially when she was and is already going through a hard time.

Both of Yerin's grandparents called Yerin over to where they were sitting. They both stood up and gave Yerin and warm yet gentle hug. Comforting her, and trying their best to reassure her that everything is going to be okay in the end.

Their grandparents excused the three teenagers and all three of them stepped outside. Yerin felt her phone buzz, she took out her phone and was surprised by the sudden text message from a certain person.
