Friendship.

Friends start with a hello, or even one saving the other. These friends become part of your life.

The friendship between Jason and Layla became famous in school. How does a Muslim girl become friends with a Christian guy?

Many stereotypes believe they can't be friends because they are not from the same religion. Jason didn't care what people thought of his and Layla's friendship.

"Hey, Jase. Are you alright?", Layla asks him when she notices he had a huge bruise on his face.

Each day the bruises appear on his face. Jason began covering them with his hoodie, knowing that Layla would discover what was happening to him.

"Nothing, Lay. We should get to class before the teacher arrives", Jason tries to avoid her gaze.

It has been almost three months since Jason helped her when she was bullied. And now Layla felt like it is her turn to be the savior.

"Stop whatever you are thinking, Layla. When I tell you it's nothing it means nothing." Jason tells her when he saw the expression on her face. He knows that she will want to know and yet he can't let her know anything it is for the best.

"Fine. By the way, my brother wants a rematch on the video game you were playing last weekend. He said that he will win this time", Layla tells him. As Jason was about to reply, Mr. Johnson walked into the class.

As the lesson went on, Jason looked at Layla.

If you know what is going on you would leave just like the rest of them. It is better that you don't know. You are innocent and pure, and I never want to lose you.

"That's all class. Your homework will be on pages 209 to 210 and there will be a surprise test this week. I wouldn't tell you when it will be", Mr. Johson tells the class. Most of the students groan as they know that what he says he usually does.

This means there will be a surprise test which is going to be half of their grade.

"Are you still coming over?...." Layla asks him.

"I can't today and will you tell your brother that he will have to postpone the rematch for another day? I will see you at lunch", Jason replied as he walked away.

Strange. He didn't even smile as he did before. What is happening to you, Jason? I wish you could just talk to me. He will speak when he is ready to. I can't pressure him. I just need to be there for him no matter what.

Most people will judge you because of the way your dress or even the way you behave. But what they don't know is that everything you do there's a reason behind it. Or even someone who made you the way you are.
