Hanging Out And Falling In Love.

Dedicated to my bestie Mandy. Thank you for being there for me always. @feufeu15

Love you always.

Walking up in his arms was something that made Layla's heart flustered. She looked at him not knowing that he is awake.

"You should take a picture, you will have a memory", Jason tells her opening his eyes.

"I don't think I want to take a picture when I can see it and put it on my brain for me to remember", She tells him smacking him on his arm.

"Ouch".

"I am sorry I didn't know that you got hurt on this arm", she tells him.

Jason started laughing making Layla confused as to why he was laughing.

"It's okay. I am just kidding..."

"You are a meanie", Layla tells him while hitting him on his arm.

As they continued to bicker, the door opens revealing her parents.

Jason quickly got up from bed almost falling making Nayla giggle.

"Mamma", Layla looked at her mother. They all started laughing this made Layla's face red.

"Okay, that's enough embarrassing us", Layla says. Jason looked at them and smiled knowing that Liam had saved him and his mother.

"I wanted to say thank you for what you did for me and my mother last night. If it wasn't for you, I don't know what would have happened", he tells Liam who shook his head.

"I did it because I saw myself in you. And I saw someone who has a bright future ahead of him. Plus someone who loves you but she just needs a little push. No, a huge push", Liam tells him looking at his daughter who was confused as to why her father was looking at her.

"Well, the doctor told us that you would be discharged in a few days but you will have to limit yourself from going heavy things", her mother tells her daughter.

Jason excused himself saying he needed to see his mother.

"I will be back later", he tells Layla.

As he walked out of the door, Liam looked at his daughter.

"Really dad? You two are too much", she scolded her parents who don't seem to mind what she was saying.

"Layla, I don't think your father said anything wrong. Besides it isn't wrong...."

"Not you too. Sometimes I wonder who are you guys? Most parents would kick a guy's ass for staring at their daughter. But you are exceptional and weird".

A few days later she was released from the hospital with strict orders from the doctor not to exhaust herself. This meant that she wouldn't be able to go to school.

Liam had already given an apartment to Kate and Jason. There was also a job waiting for her at their company.

Every day Jason would visit her and also bring homework for her so that she won't fall behind in class.

It was time to go back to school after a few months of bed rest have passed. Her father had Jason come and pick her up and take her to school.

Layla knew that Jason would do anything for her but she didn't want to be a burden to him.

It's been a few months since the incident happened to Layla. Her father was more overprotective of her than he was before.

"Either you hang out with Jason or your brother?", Liam tells her. She knows that hanging out with her brother is like world war three happening so did her father.

" You are weird, Papa. Other fathers wouldn't want guys to hang out with their daughters and here you are tell me to hang out with a guy", Layla tells him. She was confused as to why her parents are letting her hang out with a guy.

"You are just like your mother, oblivious to what it is in front of her", he tells her. She wasn't sure what he meant by that.

" Are you sure that it was me who is oblivious to what is in front of them?", her mother asks her father.

Liam remembered how he almost lost her because he thought he wasn't good enough for her. Until his love was put to the test when Nayla's parents were telling her about getting married to her cousin.

He immediately knew that he had to step up and make a move. Liam didn't have anyone in his life. He moved from foster care to foster care until he was eighteen when he started his own business.

"Fine. But she does take after you on the part that she can't see what's there until someone takes it away", Liam explained to her.

" You guys are weird or it is just old age?", Layla teased her parents about that all the time.

"You have two choices. Hang out with your brother or your friend. Pick one", her parents stared at her.

Layla didn't believe that her parents doing this.

" Fine but I don't think he will want to hang out with me. Besides, he will have to go to dates", she replies to them remembering the time when Jason told Heather.

The look on her face was something that her mother knew very well. It was the look of jealousy.

"Well why don't you ask him?", Liam tells her pointing at the door where Jason was standing with a bag in his hand.

"Hey, sorry I came unannounced but I bought something for Layla", he tells her giving him the bag.

"I hope you like it".

Layla opened the bag and saw the title of the book ' Law Of Attraction. She couldn't help but hug him.

"Sorry but this is a great gift. Thank you so much".

"It is a signed copy by the author herself", he explains to her. Layla opened the book and saw that it was signed and there was a dedication.

"Thank you thank you so much, Jase. You are my favorite person in the entire world".

"Um, you are most welcome".
