Graduation And College.
Changes that we go through are exactly what we might need. Because changing is like evolving into a big thing that will help you in the future.
Being in love is a different thing and telling their parents was another. Jason knew how much Layla meant to her parents especially her father Liam.
Layla needed her parents' approval more than anything in the world. If they didn't want her to be with him, she would do everything to try and convince them. Hoping that they will one day accept him.
"Naeem, can I talk to you about something?", she asks her brother who had just walked into the house. He looked lost but when he saw that Layla wanted to talk to him. He kept what he was feeling inside.
"Okay, what do you want to talk about?", he asks her taking a seat on the sofa. He turned to his sister who looked nervous and didn't know where or how to start.
"Um, I have...." Layla stammered trying to get the words out of her mouth.
"Finally, he told you. Do you even know how hard it is to keep that from you?", Naeem teased her.
You deserve to be happy and I will make sure of that.
Layla looked at her brother with a surprised look on her face.
"Did you forget that we are best friends and that he can't keep anything from me?".
"Okay, now you know. I am going to my room", she walked out heading up the stairs to her room.
She is angry because I knew before she did. Jason, I hope you are ready for her because you two are made for each other.
Convincing mum and our grandparents is the hard part. Because our grandparents if they don't like someone it is very hard for them to be accepted by them. Dad has always known that Jason has been in love with my sister.
Naeem laughed when Layla came down and sat near him. She looked at him and said; "Thank you for being my brother and I hope you find your happiness too".
"Thank you but remember our grandparents..."
"Is it too far to do that? I mean we are just starting out and besides, we might go to different universities and it isn't like he is going to propose", she tells him.
But in her heart, she wanted a forever him but she can't ask him to leave what he knew his entire life for her.
Naeem was sure that Jason had other plans for both him and Layla.
"Anyways, now we have to think about graduation and receiving our acceptance letters. You know that I can't think of having a boyfriend and you know why", Layla explained to her brother.
A few days passed Layla and Jason continued to get closer than they were before. This didn't go unnoticed by her mother Nayla.
Nayla wanted her daughter to be independent before having any type of relationship because her future was more important than anything else.
She knew that her husband wanted them together but he also wants their daughter to have a career and independence.
"Layla, I know that you and Jason are together and no your brother didn't tell me anything. All I want to tell you is that you don't need to hide anything from me. I will support you in whatever decision you take. All am saying is that don't be in a hurry to do anything. Think of it and then make the decision", Nayla advises her daughter.
It was almost time for the three to take their finals. They all study together and help each other.
By the end of the final, they were exhausted and couldn't keep their eyes open.
