2014: November, Fall Semester

As soon as the clock hit 10:50a.m., Genesis is standing up and slinging his backpack over his shoulder. He doesn't care that the professor's still up front talking. He had his 50 minutes to get his point across. "See you guys after the break," the professor says as Gee walks passed him out of the door.

While walking through the packed hall of students leaving classes and the ones waiting to go to their next one, he checks his phone seeing a missed call from his mother. Making sure he holds the door for two girls behind him, Gee calls her back putting his phone to his ear.

"You're welcome," he says loud enough for the girls who didn't thank him to hear him. They both look over their shoulders giving the delayed acknowledgement. Genesis clearly isn't in a rush like other's who damn near run down the stairs.

Finally, his mother answers right before it's about to go to voicemail. "Look who finally has time to speak with me," Misty doesn't even hesitate to complain.

"Ma, you always call when I'm in class or at practice. I told you my free times," he explains walking out of the Physics building. You can tell it's about to be a break because people seem to be on high energy. They're damn near about to run anybody over because they want to get this day over with.

"Ohh, look at you. Big man on campus. Now I have to schedule when to speak to the big head I pushed out of my punani."

"Ma, chill," he turns up his face. "And is my dome really that big?" he asks rubbing over his head that wears a beanie. He's been getting that insult a lot lately. "What's up though? You good?"

"I'm fine. Just a little upset you won't be coming home for Thanksgiving. I guess I have to wait until Christmas to see my baby. Are you okay?"

"I'm fine. It's really right around the corner. A couple weeks."

"Someone doesn't sound too sad about not seeing your one and only mama. You must have some little girl up there. I bet she don't cook like me." Gee laughs at her being so dramatic.
