We jogged over to where Emmi was sparing with her partner to see if she was handling things okay. When we got there, she was just practicing the way she takes out her weapon. She reached near her hip and swiftly moved her hand forward, as she did so, the weapon made a clear appearance. Bow and arrows... bows are cool too. "I wonder how she handles her bow..." I whispered to Syiah, still keeping my gaze locked on Emmi. Her partner on the other hand... I haven't seen his weapon yet. If he has a sword, it could be game over for him. One un-dodged shot is all she needs to put an end to him. "Zen! Pull out your weapon and fight her!" I heard one of his friends say.

Zen? He looks familiar... wait... I remember those blue highlights... It's the guy I stood next to at the beginning of all this. "Cool yourself. I'm gettin' to that part." He spat back.

He then slowly put two hands behind him and near his back, just like he was holding a baseball bat. His hands slowly came forward as the weapon appeared into his tight hands. The weapon

he wielded was a claymore?

"Claymore-" Syiah started

."A weapon that requires two hands in order to use it..." I finished.

Zen smirked and sprinted toward Emmie. Emmie dodged just in time for zen to swing his sword and spin to face Emmie again. She pulled back the bowstring with the arrow held in place and shot at him. Unsurprisingly, he moved out of the arrows' way just in time. Emmie started rapid firing arrows that went every which way, while Zen managed to dodge pretty well while moving closer to Emmie without her knowing he was coming closer. Zen then spun in a circle to get the momentum on the big sword going so he could hit harder, then released the sword with one hand. The claymore had so much velocity from the built of momentum Zen had given it, it was going faster than he had intended it to go. Emmie was already backing away from him when he started spinning. The sword was heading straight to her. If she didn't move, she'd get impaled. She had to think fast.

Emmie's POV:

Shit... It's coming at me with groundbreaking speeds, and I don't know how fast I can move out of the way...

My eyes slowly caught a glimpse of a tree nearby. I knew I can make it over there. I dug my left foot into the dirt of the ground and shifted my weight to that foot and shot myself toward the tree, making myself airborne. I was surprisingly moving faster than I thought. Once I reached the tree, I kicked off of it with the bottom of my foot. The sword that was once a speeding torpedo straight to my stomach was now a sword stuck in the rough bark of a tree in the woods behind me.

Hah... I've got the upper hand now.

Once I landed on the ground I tumbled a little bit but stood right back up pretty swiftly. I started running toward him at full speed. I drew out my Bow and began to target him in my sights. But... as I was getting ready to shoot... my eyes widened in shock and suddenly everything stopped moving.

He... has another sword?? But how?! I got rid of it!

In the moments I dazed off, he managed to sneak behind me, throw me to the rough ground, kick my stomach to blow the air out of my lungs, and put the point of the blade to my throat.I tried to speak.

"RGghhH... That's... not-"

"Fair? This isn't about being fair. This is about honing our abilities, and clearly, you aren't fit for yours,"

Bella's POV again:

He let up and started to walk away with his blade resting on his shoulder

"But don't get upset because you took the loss. After all,"

He looked over his shoulder to look at her holding her stomach and finding it hard to breathe.

"Second place is first place for losers."

He began to chuckle softly, then his gaze shifted to mine. I stared with no meaning. I wanted to fight him so badly. I want to see the look on his face when I beat his ass. But that would have to wait.

I have to fight Syiah tomorrow in practice. No matter what.
