As soon as the sun peaked through the horizon, a siren played over the loud speakers outside. Coincidentally, we just so happened to be placed right out side of where the loud speakers are blaring their annoying noise.

I grunted as I lifted up my worn out pillow, swiftly buried my face into the mattress and covered the back of my head with the pillow.

Emmi threw a pillow at me from across the room and said: "Wake up. We have things to do."

My face still being buried in my pillow, I grabbed the pillow she threw at me with one irritated swing and threw it right back at her with a short, muffled grunt. I was too lazy to tuck my arm back in, so I let it hand off the side of the bunk.

"Go away, pest." I groggily managed.

Emmi sighed quietly to herself. That's when I felt a cold, rough grip on my arm pull me down from my bed. For the little time I was airborne, I quickly grabbed the pillow I've been hiding under and threw it at Emmi with such force, that she took 3 steps back before falling to the ground.

My back arched after the shock of hitting the cold hard floor. I grunted. I sat up on the floor rubbing my lower back, and scowling at Emmi who is now staring back at me. Disheveled hair covering features of my face, I ran my fingers through my hair, and felt it fall back into place.

I got up still scowling at Emmi who continued sitting on the floor, not bothering to get up. I scoffed at her and grabbed my training clothes that were drooped over the back of my desk chair. With a quick and angry swipe, the chair rolled a few inches from the force I had exalted.

"You didn't have to do that." grumbled Emmi. She then used both her hands that were firmly planted on the ground to help herself up. She dusted herself off, sighed once more, and made her way towards me.

I didn't wanna reply, but I did so anyway. "But I did. Deal." I didn't look at her, I just kept walking to the changing area. I don't feel like being bothered today, especially because I've been through hell and back enough times as it is.  Emmi was just a minor glitch in the system, and I wasn't in the mood to debug anything. If I did, she'd be gone for good. It's not that I don't like her, but she's just in my way at this point, and I'd rather be left alone.

As soon as I slipped my training gear on, I left for outside. I confidently walked over to where I saw the rest of them training, and met the eyes of the commander. He looked at me for a second and waved his hand as a gesture to come on over. Commander firmly shook my hand, and subtly nodded his head with a slight smile.

"Bella? I thought we agreed you'd go to the ability associating building for training today." He dropped my hand rather quickly, looked at me and furrowed his brow.

"Oh, right- I must've forgot." I improvised, scratching my arm.

"When you get there, there should be someone waiting for you inside," He paused, then swallowed. "I wish you the best."

I raised an eyebrow in slight confusion, but decided I didn't wanna know what he was talking about.

I took off into a jog, then slowly gaining momentum into a sprint. The dry grass and frail sticks under my feet rustled and cracked as I continued on. Once I started to approach the well-built, sturdy building,I slowed down my pace, then walked up to one of the many metal doors and started slightly panting in loss of breath. I grabbed the cold, hard door handle, and hung my head low so my breath could return. After a couple of seconds flew passed me like lightning, I opened the door and walked in. The tap of my boots on the metal tiles bolted to the floor echoed through the training lobby.
