"Get up." I rubbed my eyes when I heard the same mans voice I had heard earlier when he grabbed me. "W-wha?" I yawned. I touched my face to make sure I was still myself, but as I did, I realized I had bandages all over my face and hands. "We have our training sessions today. So get up." The mans voice stern and commanding. "Who are you...?" "Oh? Hmm. Must've forgot to introduce myself. I'm Darrell, second in command. Now stop asking questions so I can escort you to the initiation." His tone didn't change. As I got changed into some sweatpants and a sweatshirt, he grabbed me by the arms and walked me all the way to an area where only a few people were assembling. "Go." He commanded. Someone isn't having a good day, huh? I walked over to where the rest of the people where gathering and examined my surroundings. There was a man standing at a pedestal in the outside environment. Why were these people here? Better yet, why am I here? The man finally spoke."You guys might be wondering why you're here, right?" Everyone looked around to one another, but I kept my gaze on the man. "Well, that's something you'll find out later in the initiation. For now, everyone follow me." He said in a loud voice as he stepped down form his pedestal and walked over to a chamber. But... it wasn't a chamber? We all had to get in line behind one another, and walk like that into a narrow, grey and black tunnel that had only a few lights to where you could only see what was going on to about a minimal extent. I was first. I walked through as the rest of the recruits followed. I walked into the narrow, but wide space. It was was filled with men on the sides of where we were marching. There was one man with a syringe full of a liquid at the very end of the narrow tunnel. We all had to march with our hands behind out back, and correct posture. They had multiple canisters of the same liquid in the syringe. I walked up to the guy with the syringe, finally. He injected some liquid into my body. It hurt like absolute HELL. But... for some reason, it felt like something inside of me changed. I wasn't the happiest looking person. My eyes were always narrow and I always had a emotionless expression on my face. My emotionless tone never changed a lot, either. My body was heating up even though it was freezing outside. I was examining my hands when I heard someone else's voice come from behind me. "Don't you find all this a little weird?" I snapped my head back for my eyes to greet a darker skinned girl with very short, black, curly hair. She has big brown eyes, and looked healthy. She looked like he actually had a good mental state. Her black hair only came down to where her eyes were. Her skin wasn't exactly clear though... a few blemishes. "Oh! Sorry... I'm Syiah! Aren't you feeling a bit queer after that shot?" "Yeah..." I said in a questioning tone."Congratulations. You all have been assigned a weapon designed just for you based on your skill sets. Obviously, the toughest got the strongest weapon. To summon your weapon, just act like you're pulling a weapon out from thin air, and it should appear inside your hands. Of course, not all of you got swords. Some have spears, some have bow and arrows. Anyways, all of your weapons you have was specifically designed to handle your elements." Elements...? What does he mean...elements? "You probably never heard of 'elements,' and are questioning what I mean. Well, you'll have to find that out for yourselves. Nevertheless, the whole reason we're giving you these weapons is that we're recruiting you to fight off the animals and monsters who have been terrorizing humans for centuries. You didn't choose this. We did. You have no choice." He explained. Someone's hand went up signaling that they were wanting to ask a question. "Yes, Emmi Gaze?" "So... there's something I'm not quite getting... you're basically forcing everyone to commit suicide against their will, sir?" She said as she rubbed her chin as her gaze shifted from the floor to the man. "Yes." he admitted with no hesitation.
