Chapter 4

Flashback: Wonderland...

The Knave of Hearts and the Ace of Hearts were walking through the Queen of Hearts castle.

"I don't like this..." The Knave of Hearts said.

"You and me both... She said she wanted to show me something... But I don't know what," The Ace of Hearts said.

"Be careful," The Knave of Hearts said.

"Promise," The Ace of Hearts said and knocked on a door as the Knave of Hearts continued walking down the corridor.

The doors opened but two Knights and the Ace of Hearts walked inside to find the Queen of Hearts with a woman with blonde hair, in a red dress.

"You called for me, Your Majesty," The Ace of Hearts said as she removed her helmet.

"Ah! My dear Ace! Yes, I did... I heard you and the Knave talking about how your brother abandoned you after promising to never let anything happen to you or that you'd always find your way back to each other," The Queen of Hearts said.

"That's right... Just a silly promise my older brother didn't believe. I do have a life here now, I'm a new person and I'm liking who I am," The Ace of Hearts said.

"What if I could help you be more than you are... Both you... And the Red Queen... Ace, this is Anastasia, the Red Queen. Anastasia, this is my personal favourite knight, the Ace of Hearts, Giselle Jones," The Queen of Hearts said.

"An honour to make your acquaintance, Your Majesty," The Ace of Hearts said as she bowed, gritting her teeth.

"A pleasure. I've heard word of your swordsmanship, no one can match it and at such a young age," The Red Queen said.

"I'm older than I look, Your Majesty... I was living in Neverland for over two centuries," The Ace of Hearts said.

"Explains a lot," The Red Queen said.

"As I was saying, I will teach you both to be more than you are. To be exceptional Queens and holders of magic," The Ace of Hearts looked confused and the Queen of Hearts looked at her, "That's right dear... All the tea times and meals weren't because I was needing company, I was training you to be Queen after me and you are ready... Giselle, Princess of Hearts," The Queen of Hearts said as the Ace of Hearts stared at her in shock.
