CHAPTER EIGHT

Nakatingin lang ako sakanya nang tumayo siya mula sa pagkakaupo. Napatingin ako sa aking kamay nang hinawakan niya iyon. "Tara... Samahan mo akong uminom, Captain." She said while pulling my hand lightly. Her eyes were half closed. "Please?"

I sighed and then I looked at the costumers. They're not looking at us anymore.

I held her hand. "Let's go... I'll bring you home."

Umiling siya. "No! Join me..."

I looked around. "No. I won't drink."

She pouted. "Hindi ka naman nasa trabaho na ah!" I covered her mouth because she shout as loud again. I made a peace sign to those people who looked at us. 

I sighed before looking at her. "Can you keep your voice down? You're irritating those costumers!" I said in a low tone.

"Fine! In one condition..."

Kumunot ang noo ko. "Say it."

"Drink with me..." She said while smiling.

Napa-iling nalang ako. I massaged my head. "You little brat... You're making my head ache!" I hissed.

"Vonn!" I looked back at the counter and lola is holding a tray of foods. "Here's your lunch meal! Come!"

I cleared my throat. "Lola, can I take it out?"

Sandali siyang natigilan, tumingin siya sa kay Empress saka ngumiti. "Oh. Sure... I'll prepare it then."

Ngumuti ako bago siya ulit pumasok sa loob ng kitchen.

Kinuha ko mula sa kamay ni Empress ang hawak niyang baso at inilagay ko iyon sa mesa. Kinuha ko rin mula sa upuan ang bag niya at saka siya hinila.

"What are you doing?!" Tinabig niya ang kamay ko pero maagap ko iyong kinuha at hinigpitan ang pagkakahawak doon.

Napatingin ako sa pinto ng kusina nila lola nang tumunog ang chime bell. Lola came out from the kitchen's door, holding a box's of take out.

She was about to hand it to me when she took it back, looking at my hands, intertwined with Empress' hand. And then her eyes went on my shoulder when Empress suddenly put her head on my shoulder. I was literally shocked.

Lola looked at me in the eye, I tried to have an eye to eye contact with her blue eyes.

"Vonn..." She put her hands on the both sides of her hips.

"Hmn?" I asked while holding at Empress' hand tightly so she won't go away.

"Is she your girlfriend?" She asked seriously.

"Ahmm---"

"So I'll know, my granddaughter will be hurt if she sees you with a beautiful girl."

Paulit-ulit iyong pumapasok sa isip ko. Inaalala ang maganda ngunit batang mukha ng apo ni lola Krissy.

I sighed before looking at lola's eyes. "I know she likes me, lola. But she's too young for me. She's just a senior highschool and I'm too way older than her... Also it's just a crush...I believe that it will fail."
