CHAPTER ELEVEN

I was walking around the cruise ship's middle deck when I heard a familiar voice from a speaker.

"I am the Captain of Hutton's cruise ship and I have an emergency, a family emergency... I'm sorry to say but we'll change our route now. We will go to the Philippines. I'm sorry passengers, I'm very sorry. Hope you would understand. Thank you!"

Philippines! Paulit-ulit iyong pumasok sa isipan ko. Umiling-iling ako na hindi makapaniwala.

"Empress..." I looked back and tears started streaming from my eyes as I looked at Captain Vonn's frustrated face.

"Philippines? I thought we were going to Dubai?"

He faced palmed and then sighed heavily. He walks un-easy. "I'm sorry..."

"Why? What emergency...?"

"My--- my little sister was gotten by a kidnappers. I'm afraid they would do something to our little brat, I have to go home as soon as possible!" His voice broke down. I have this feeling to hug him so I hug him tightly. I'm afraid if someone will get me here, I'm afraid if Vonn will leave me, I may not feel safe... Because if I am with him... I feel safe.

Hinaplos ko ang likuran niya. "I want to go with you. But I'm also afraid that my parents and his parents' men were all around. I wanted to help..." I sighed when he wiped my tears. He cupped my face and he looked at me into my eyes.

"You won't go outside now, understood?" I nodded. "Good... Stay here, you'll be leaving later and you'll go to Dubai... No matter what happens don't go out now. Stay inside your cabin. I'll be getting you a 3 bodyguards."

"Vonn... You don't have to do that... I can..."

"No. You can't! Listen to me..." He cupped my face. "Don't trust any other people here rather than yourself and Kino, Ion and your bodyguards. They're the one I trust in here. And if you want to call me or something..." May inilabas siyang latest iphone mula sa bulsa niya. "Call me, you have my number there."

"Vonn, you don't have to do this. I don't need it..."

"Okay. If you don't need it then I'll throw it." Itinaas niya ang kamay niya saka akmang ihahagis niya sa dagat nang pinigilan ko siya.

"What do you think you're doing?"

"Ihahagis..."

"Uggh! Fine! Akin na nga!"

"Good." Then he gave it to me. He cupped my face again. "I didn't answer your question yesterday... I---"

"Captain!" Ion ran toward us, humahangos pa.

"What?!" Vonn asked.

"Malapit na tayo sa pier!" Ayan na iyong kaba ko... Malapit kami sa pier... Takot ako.  Kumapit ako sa suot ni Vonn na uniform saka tumingin sakanya.

"Susunod ako, Ion." Tumango si Ion saka dali-daling tumakbo.

May inilabas si Vonn sa isa pang bulsa niya. Tumitig ako doon at nakita ko na may hawak siyang isang necklace. Napaluha ako nang isinuot niya sa akin iyon. Ramdam ko na medyo mabigat iyon. Hinawakan ko iyon saka pinagkatitigan.

He used his hand to lift my chin up and then he held my both hands. "I like you and always remember that I'm on my way to you... And I'd gave you that necklace so you'll remember me." He kissed my forehead and and then he turned his back on me amd started running toward the bridge.

Napangiti ako. "I'll wait for you!" I shouted. Nakita kong umangat ang isang kamay niya habang nakatalikod at tumatakbo bago tuluyang makapasok sa loob ng bridge.
