I S A B E L L A
We found a stone path that was wide enough for three people. It took us half an hour but at least I didn't need to talk to Alexandra anymore. I didn't trip, nor did my skirt rip, which was fortunate.
Luck was on my side today, at least a little.
Owen led us into a forest. The trees all had a healthy green color and I heard the birds singing. It was calming, yet beautiful. I wasn't really sure if this was the right way, and I could never imagine Nathaniel choosing this place for his wedding, but we carried on walking, deeper and deeper into the woods.
I was walking between Grayson and Liam who couldn't stop talking about some video games. "Can you guys stop? My ears are beginning to bleed because of your stupid conversation."
"Oh please, at least we understand each other. Not like you and Alex." Grayson chuckled and Liam joined him.
"Go to hell." I huffed under my breath and kicked Liams leg while walking. He tripped but luckily for him, didn't fall to the ground.
"Eyo, whats your problem?" He pushed my shoulder, but I kept my eyes on the ground. "Hello? I'm talking to you?" He was irritated but I just rolled my eyes, ignoring him. I was short tempered today, so it wasn't good to test me.
Grayson couldn't keep in his grin after that small situation, so Liam shoved him to the ground, laughing. Grayson felt to the hard ground and groaned a little as he hit the stones. Luckily, his suit wasn't dirty.
"Calm down, it was funny." Grayson held his hand in front of his mouth to stop himself from laughing, while getting back up, but I could see, Liam was definitely annoyed at me and a little at Grayson.
"Guys...look." Aiden pointed forward and my gaze followed to where he pointed at. I heard a gasp from behind, probably from Alexandra, and I felt adrenaline build up. The conversations behind me had stopped and we all stared at what Aiden had discovered.
My nightmare was about to come true, just more realistic.
We stood in front of a beautiful altar. Rows of wooden stools were lined up on either side, and had white cushions for comfort on them. Directly next to these rows were white flowers in rectangular vases. In the middle of the stool rows was a white long carpet that led to a flower arch.
Crazy, how it's not dirty.
Behind it was lake that sparkled in the sun light. All the guests were all ready seated on the stools and only both front rows were empty. This wasn't Nathaniels taste, Jennifer had certainly gotten her way. If Nathaniel had decided, we would celebrate in a large majestic hall, red roses, tall pillars, and definitely no flower arch.
Nathaniel must've actually loved her at least a bit for her to decide.
Speaking of the devil, he stood under the arch next to a priest, waiting patiently for the bride. He was excited and smiled for once, this was so unlike him, but he was also nervous, pearls of sweat were coming from his forehead.
The priest wore a black suit and had an ancient opened book in his hand. He didn't look old. Probably even younger that the groom himself. Maybe around his twenties and he didn't look awful. He had brown short hair, and brown matching eyes. Pretty boring, but when I looked at his charisma that was practically shining from his wide smile, he looked kinda cute.
All the heads of the guests turned to us as we followed the carpet and each took a seat in the front row. Before I could sit down, Alexandra stopped me and whispered, "We are the bridesmaids, get up!"
