"Always close your eyes before you lean in," Enid instructed. Her hands were on your shoulders, positioning you just right so that she could lean down and kiss you when the time came. You looked up at her, puzzled.

"But why though."

"People make weird faces when they go in to kiss each other. Just do yourself a favor and don't look."

"Then how am I supposed to aim?"

"Well, get an idea in your head before you close your eyes, of course."

"Okay," your hands hung onto her dress loosely, right on the sides of her waist.

"Tighten your grip," she said, and you did. "But make sure you're moving them occasionally to keep things exciting."

"Can we just get to the actual kissing part?"

Enid rolled her eyes, and then leaned in closer. "Okay. So close your eyes, and then stick your lips out a little. That's too much. Less... less...you know your mouth is bleeding right?"

You opened your eyes and frowned, tasting the blood on the inside of your split lip again. "I know, I bit it when the guy was dragging me earlier. It's scabbing over, though."

"Eugh," she looked disgusted. "Gross. Fine. We'll keep this quick then."

Her hands were soft and gentle on the side of your head, so gentle you could barely feel them there. You closed your eyes, waiting patiently for her to kiss you. Your pulse wasn't thrumming erratically as it had done with Anakin-- in fact, you weren't nervous at all right now. You didn't care if you were going to be bad, or good, or anything because you didn't care about impressing Enid.

In a way, you were glad this was going to be your first kiss.

Her breath ghosted over your lips, soft and warm and somehow still sweet-smelling. You could feel the ends of her long hair tickle your own arms as she closed the gap between you.

Before her lips could make contact with yours, there was a loud screech from the dark hallway. You and Enid flinched away from each other, stunned into silence. Your heart pounded as footsteps drew nearer, a tall figure emerging from the dark.

Now, as he stepped into the light to unlock the door, you could see him clearly.

He was tall and wide, very muscular and heavyset. His skin was blue all over, and his scalp was void of hair. He didn't look at you or Enid as his huge hands jiggled the keys, unlocking the old metal door and swinging it open.

Your stomach dropped and all of the blood left your head, but you still managed to push yourself to your feet and stand in front of Enid.

You weren't sure why you felt the sudden need to protect her-- maybe it was because she was a princess, and you were just a medic. She was more important than you, and you wouldn't be able to live with yourself knowing you didn't do everything you could to save her.

The man didn't say anything as he stepped inside the cell. Enid shrunk back, and you cringed away from him too, knowing there was nothing you could do against the sheer size of him if he decided to kill you now. You would face it head on, but it didn't stop the fear from coursing through your body, making your hands and knees tremble.

He grabbed you, and you yelped as you were wrenched against him. Enid shrieked in terror, scuttling back to the dark corner of the cell and out of view. She watched him turn you around and force you to your knees before him, keeping your hands pinned behind your back with one of his, and fitting a blindfold over your eyes with the other. Then he yanked you to your feet again, barely waiting for you to catch your balance before he was dragging you out of the cell.
