Shinichiro // Broken Promise

Lunch break is almost over. I am walking down the hallway when I saw a confession scene. I know that guy! I saw him confess last week to a different girl and he got rejected. I also saw him last cultural festival confessed to a senpai and got rejected. I took a step back and hide on the wall. I got curious why he keep on confessing to different girls.

"He moved on so fast," I said to myself.

"Akane-san I like you. Please go out with me."

"Ew no." The girl with long wavy hair said. She's rude but to be honest, she's out of his league. Poor guy.

The girl walked out and I quickly lean on the wall. I waited for him to come out. He's slouching his back like he just lost to a casino game.

"Yo!" I greeted him.

"Hey." He said looking at me as he pass by he then stops walking and looks at me again.

"Are we friends?"

"No"

"Oh... Is there anything you want?"

"Nothing much, I got curious because it's my third time seeing you confess and got rejected within one month."

"What? That's only my third confession ?" He said scratching his head.

"What do you mean?" I tilt my head, crossing my arms.

"Last month I got rejected five times." He said it like it was a normal thing.

"That sucks, Why do you keep on confessing anyway."

"I just want to have a girlfriend."

"Aren't you supposed to like-like the girl before asking them to be your girlfriend not just because you want one?"

"I like girls." He said smiling. He's weird but cute.

"You're hopeless." I took candy to my pocket and give it to him.

"Here. To make you feel better." I said and smile.

"Thank you!" He take the candy. "I'm Shinichiro by the way."

"Y/N. We're the same level."

"Nice to meet you Y/N, Please go out with me."

"Okay," I said.

"You're the fourth girl that rejects... What?"

"I said okay" I smiled at him.

"Is this a prank? Am I being filmed?" He looks around.

"No, silly! I don't have a boyfriend and you always got rejected so why not?." I said.

"But you just said that I need to have feelings or something to a girl before I ask her out."

I rub my chin with my fingers "Well you're interesting and kinda cute minus your hairstyle. That's why I want to try." I pause. "Do you like it or not?" His eyes lit like he just won something.

"Yes! I love to!"

I never thought that my impulse decision will become my happiness. We are now in our seventh year as a couple. Shinichiro became the best boyfriend. He's kinda weak and a cry baby but he's amazing! He never gives up if things get tough. He always got my back, He never leaves me behind and He inspires me to be the best version of myself.

He saves me in many different ways. His love became my light during the darkest times. I could never live without him.

"How's the bike shop?" I asked. He is obsessed with bikes since he's a former gang leader. Every time I ask him about it he never stops talking but it's fine. Watching him talk about the things he loves makes me happy.
