CHAPTER 5

YUXIN POV

I've finished all my classes for today, and now I'm heading to the practice room to practice. I studied street dance, popping to be precise since I was in elementary school, I like it because I think this kind of dance is really cool and from popping I started to learn other types of street dance. After learning to dance, I became interested in music and majored in music at college.

I meet the person who had helped me at the cafeteria because I haven't had time to thank this person I decided to say hello. "Hey!" I call and of course, she doesn't know that I called her.

"Hey!" I called one more time but this time I tapped her on the shoulder to make sure she realized I'm calling her.

"Yes? Any problems?" She asked as she turned to me.

"Oh, nope. I just want to say thanks." I said

"Okay, you're welcome. Then I'll go first?" She asked

"What's your name?" I asked hastily because I still didn't know her name.

"Oh, sorry for that. My name is Lu Keran, you can call me Keke or whatever you want to call me." She answer

"Ok Keke... my name is Liu Yuxin, you can call me Yuxin or Xin," I said with a satisfied smile because I finally know the name of the person who helped me.

THIRD POV

Everyone stopped at what they are doing right now and stared at Yuxin who had just entered the practice room. Many started whispering, of course talking about the reason Yuxin chose this club. As you know, street dance clubs are usually only attended by boys and only a few girls want to participate. While in this class there is no girl at all because the girl who join this club mostly have moved to other dance clubs because they can't keep up with the strenuous training.

Yuxin casually went to the locker that had been provided to put the stuff that she had for class before this. She went to the toilet to change her clothes to be more comfortable for practice after that, she warmed up while waiting for the teacher who is going to teach to come. Yuxin didn't pay any attention to the people who were whispering either openly in front of her or standing in the corner so that Yuxin wouldn't be offended. According to Yuxin, she came to study, to practice, and maybe meet few friends if they have the same interest. She had absolutely no intention of flirting especially looking for a boyfriend here. But Yuxin was still Yuxin, she just waited quietly without having any protest and just let them whispering as much as they want.

Today's teacher will teach the choreography which has a lot of elements of Krump, a type of dance that requires a lot of energy to do. First, like all sports, they have to warm up so they don't sprain any part of their body while dancing.

Starting with a light warm-up and ending with thirty push-ups. Many of them were surprised that Yuxin could do all that and didn't complain of being tired while many of the others complained of being tired. Even though they are tired, they can still do it because they are used to doing it.

The teacher starts the class and they learn the first part of the choreography. Even though it looks difficult, they learn step by step from the teacher well. Don't forget that they are people who love dancing, once they learn dance they don't even remember that there were rumors about Yuxin. All focus on learning choreography which is taught by the teacher and practicing it well.

KUN POV

I gathered with my friends after training at our respective clubs. Me and Cheng Cheng headed to a café near the campus to meet up with Ziyi and Xiao Gui. It's been a long time since the four of us got together, the last time was probably at high school graduation.

The four of us sat at a table by the window and ate the food we had ordered and talked about our day on campus so far. "You know there's a girl named Yuxin that is often talked about, she's attending training today and Ziyi and I also happen to be practicing today." Xiao Gui said

I straightened my back and lean my back to the sofa so I could hear well because Xiao Gui was right next to me. For some reason hearing her name make me want to know what Xiao Gui was doing on campus.

"Even though it's true that she was the only girl in the street dance club, you wouldn't believe what we saw." Xiao Gui continued. I listened carefully, waiting for what Yuxin did at the club today.

"Well, she does dance well, there's no doubt about that. Even when learning the choreo many of the boys missed but Yuxin did it very well even catching the details from the teacher. In the end, the teacher just focused on teaching Yuxin and forgot that we are still there." Ziyi replied and I immediately turned my gaze towards Ziyi.

"You seem to be very interested in this topic, Kun," said Cheng Cheng who must be trying to tease me.

Xiao Gui and Ziyi looked at me as if to find out what was going on. I just kept quiet and drink my ice milk tea. It would be obvious that I was lying if I said I wasn't interested because I had a completely different view of Yuxin since last night. I don't know, I just feel really nervous being with her and I always want to look cool when I try to do something in front of her and she even said that the way I spoke was really weird this morning.

In the end, Xiao Gui and Ziyi just smiled when I was going silent. Well, it seems they made their own conclusions without asking my opinion and that's up to them.

I went home and of course, Yuxin is also there with mom in the kitchen making something that somehow warmed my heart instantly. Imagining if my girlfriend and my mom can get along like this just warms my heart. Maybe I'm really interested in Yuxin? Being able to imagine something like this would have been very, very strange if I didn't have any interest in her.

"I'm home," I said when I had put my bag on the sofa.

"Hey, Kun!" said Yuxin who turned and I saw her face covered with flour stains, it looks like they're baking a cake? I don't really understand what's in the kitchen. I just smile at how happy she is playing with all the flour.

I went up to take a shower and change my clothes after that doing the assignment that was given by the professor in class. I'm too immersed in learning the existing tunes, I want to make a good song for this month's event, not only because I want good grades but this is an obligation that all musicians must-have, namely being responsible for the work they produce. We must be responsible to ourselves and to our listeners, the music we make today must have meaning and not just write it into a song. It needs to be treated as your own children...

I'm doing my research and trying so many tunes that I think can fit in my song, but I just can't find the right tunes so I start to stop searching for tunes. I start to think about what's the song is going to be about and looking some news that is happening around the world right now. Trying to find inspiration from it.
