Authors note!!! This chapter includes a bit of mild homophobia, I'll but a warning beforehand incase. It doesn't affect too much of the plot if you wanna skip.
The next day right after the final school bell, Tori ran to her locker as fast as she could, today was her date with Jade. The excitment had been killing her all day, ever since she woke up it's all she could think about. In class, during lunch, and especially whenever she would see Jade in the hall. Jade would shoot her a quick glance before walking away. Tori threw all her books into her locker and grabbed her bag, she had brought her tote bag instead of a backpack today because it was quicker. She shut her locker to see Jade, standing with her arms crossed over her dark red t-shirt.
Tori felt her breath hitch as she smiled at the raven haired girl. This was what she had been waiting for all day.
"You ready?" Jade asked, not taking her eyes off of Tori. She smiled quickly.
Tori nodded, a huge grin spread over her face. "Of course!" She replied happily.
Jade looked around the hallway and made sure nobody was looking. The last thing she wanted was to draw attention to them. "Coffee first?" She asked.
"Sure!" The brunette replied as they started walking towards the door. Tori practically skipped through the hallway.
She had been picturing the day in her mind, they would get coffee together, and find cool new cds at the record store. She was so excited. She felt like a little kid who was about to go to Disney world, she had the whole day planned out to perfection.Jade was also excited, she rarely went on dates with Beck, they usually just hung out in his rv. It had been a while since she had went on a formal date, she even made sure to dress for the occasion of course. She wore a tight red t-shirt, which she wore pretty often, a black skirt with black tights underneath, and her favorite maroon doc martin platform boots. She all so made sure to shower, put on perfume and deodorant, and comb through her hair. Her look was always important to her.
As they got in Jade's car, they both glanced at eachother, for one second. That quick look sent shivers down Tori's spine. She was going on a date with Jade West. What if it was all fake and Jade was taking her to her doom? Jade always has something up her sleeve to ruin Tori's life with. What if this was all a terrible prank to humiliate Tori the worst way possible. Tori hated thinking like that, but it was a thought that had crossed her mind almost every time she got into Jade's car. She glanced at Jade as she turned the car on. "You're not taking me to my doom right?" She asked, jokingly.
Jade shook her head, "not today." She laughed.
Tori nodded.
The car drive was short, they listened to a few pop songs on the radio, nothing too interesting. Tori felt herself relax a bit, her nerves had been bothering her a lot throughout the day. They arrived at the coffee shop within fifteen minutes. As Jade pulled into a parking spot, Tori felt less nervous the excitement returned.
As the two walked onto the sidewalk, Jade grabbed Tori's hand gently. Tori felt her hand tingling from the touch. They held hands as Jade opened the glass door to the coffee shop. Instantly they could smell the strong scent of coffee beans as they stepped inside. Tori admired the walls which were decorated with artwork and paintings. Each piece of art was colorful and had its own unique style. It fascinated Tori. She looked over at Jade and grinned as they waited in line for the register.
SLIGHT HOMOPHOBIA!!!
There was a woman with a little girl waiting in line in front of them. The girl looked to be around the age of three or four. She smiled and waved at Tori and Jade, "hi!" She squealed loudly.
