Kendrick POV:
The alcohol was messing with me. Ashley was literally glittering. Marcie's basement was filled with my favorite song, and I hummed along, until the chorus came on.
"People fall in love in mysterious ways!
Maybe just the touch of the hand,
Oh me I fall in love with you ever single day!
And I just wanna tell you I am,
So honey noooow!"
Marcie has joined in now and Ashley was smiling. A smile I haven't ever seen.
"Kendrick!" Marcie threw a bottle at me, and I caught it with ease. Marcie gave me a goofy smile, and kept singing along until the song ended.
"LETS LISTEN TO CENTURIES BY FALL OUT BOY!" Marcie yelled, and started to type frantically at her screen.
"SOME LEGENDS ARE TOLD!
SOME TURN TO DUST OR TO GOLD,
BUT YOU WILL REMEMBER ME!
REMEBER ME FOR CENTURIES!"
Marcie and Kadence screamed/singed the lyrics while Ashley rolled her eyes, and took up a root beer.
I laughed at my cousins weird behavior, and decided to join in.
Which was strange.
I didn't usually do this kind of stuff.
Ashley's POV:
I smile and sing along, time runs away and it's three in the morning. Blankets and pillows are scattered everywhere or in a big pile which us four sit. "Okay, Truth or Dare?" Marcie coughs. I'm surprised she hasn't passed out from how much she's drank and also how her words don't slurr.
She already does when she's sober.
Kadence laughed, "Truth!"
Marcie nodded, "Ever kissed someone?" Kadence glared at her.
"Ohhh has Kadence kissed a boy?" I say in a sing-song voice, which makes her face go pink.
"His name was Nathan... " Marcie does a hand flap and giggles.
"Shuup!" Kadence slurred.
"Okay, Ash, Truth or Dare!" Marcie yelled.
I sighed, "Just for you, Dare."
"LETS GO TO THE LAKE!" I gave her a weird look, but Kendrick started shaking his head.
"NO! NEVER!" Marcie laughed evily,
"GET YOUR SWIM CLOTHES ON!"

I regret everything.
Standing in some shorts and a tank top, at three thirty A. M. on a summer night was not what I planned. Marcie stands by the edge of the lake, and pushed a small, some sort of looking, boat out a bit.
"HOP ABOARD THE SHIP OF LIFE!" I roll my eyes, and my eyes wander over to Kendrick, and I blush.
I watch as he stands with both hands on his sides, topless and just swimming trunks.
Alcohol wore off once the cool wind blew, but that was the only breeze. It was a warm night, so that's good. It was a full moon, and the four of us were bathed in moonlight.
I walked over, and jumped on. Followed by a noisy Kadence and a silent Kendrick.
Marcie rowed some plastic rows and moved us at to the middle of the lake.
"Sorry guys, but I don't know how to swim." Marcie confused, looked at the illuminating water. I smiled, and stood up, swaying the boat. "Don't worry, just be the life guard."
I dove in, and swam around, watching as Kadence and Kendrick also jumped in.
I swam to the surface and scared Kadence.
"Marcie, are you sure?" I look over to where Kendrick and Marcie were, which was at the boat.
"Go and have fun you weirdo!" Kendrick slinked away, and turned to me.
"So you're the cousin Marcie keeps talking about."
"Yeah, she says we met in elementary?" Kendrick smiled.
"Kind of a fuzzy thing huh?"
I smiled, and shrugged, "Whoever can make it to the bottom first wins!"
Kendrick's POV:
I kinda liked Ashley. She was nice, and had a wonderful smile. Ashley dove right down, and I followed.
Pushing farther and farther, and hit the bottom, and look over. Ashley touched down right as I did. She bolted up, and waved at me, but of course I followed.
Once we reached the top, giggling pierced the silent night. Marcie gave me a smile, but I could tell she was studying me for any weird behavors. She only came here because of how many memories we had here.
But then I screwed that up.
I pushed the dark thoughts to the back of my mind, and tackle Ashley and Kadence.

We return home around four, and we are all dead tired. Ashley is the first to fall dead asleep, followed by Kadence and Marcie. I curled up next to Ashley, and fell asleep, happy.

"Kendrick, let's head to Subway." Marcie said, kicking me. I grunt, and sit up. Running my hands through my hair, I open my eyes. Ashley and Kadence are ready and dressed.
I stand up, toss on my shoes, and follow everyone up the stairs and outside. The glaring sun blinds me for a moment, but I shrug it off, and head towards Marcie's car.
"Thanks, I really needed a break from work." Ashley sighs as we drive. Marcie nods, and turns on the radio.
"You will remember me! Remember me for centuries!
Just one mistake, is all it will take.
We'll go down in history, remember me for centuries!"
The whole car screamed the lyrics, not including me, and the volume was risin by the second.
Once that song ended, we arrived at Subway.
Once we left, another song came on.
"We are the warriors that built this town, here we are don't turn away now.
We are the warriors that built this town! From dust."
I covered my ears, and waited for the freaking song to end.
One by one, Marcie dropped us off. First Kadence, then Ashley, then me.
"Ken." I turned to Marcie.
"I noticed the new scars. I just wanted to tell you. It will be better. Promise."
I look at her for awhile. And smile, "I had a great time." Marcie smiled.
"Awesome!" she waved as she drove away. And I stood and watched her drive away. Depressed thoughts begged to be relived, but I pushed them all away. Today was a good day. Not a sad day.
Yeah, a good day.
