A/N WHAT!?! WHO READS THIS BOOK? I MUST KNOW WHO YOU OTHER GUYS ARE! PLEASE TELL ME HOW MUCH YOU LIKE THIS BOOK, BUT FROM HOW MANY READS THIS HAS!?!? CRAZY! OKAY, GO READ!

Kendrick's POV:

I walked down the road that lead to the lake, Marcie said she wanted to go swimming. I wasn't sure why I agreed. Maybe I was just bored, or by somehow Dylan got my number.

He has been texting me endlessly.

I blocked him but he somehow figured out how to unblock people. He must be really annoying. I walk around the turn, and Marcie stood with Alex and Kadence. They where laughing over something, and a few towls where laid out.

Kadence looked awfully uncomfortable.

"Hey Alex." I smiled, and looked at the poorly made shaft Marcie made a few months ago. But it worked.

"Kendrick, did you know Marcie has a girlfriend?" she looked completely uncomfortable even saying the word.

"Yeah, I was the first to meet her." I said causally, and look at the water. "Looks great to go swimming."

Marcie nodded excitedly, and started to push the thing out to water. "Okay, I brought a tent for changing in, it's set up over there."

We where sitting in the middle of the lake, eating chips and laughing over the most dumbest jokes and story's.

But then a guy on a jet ski decides he's going to be an idiot.

He drives out to us, and before hitting us, makes a sharp turn and water sprays everywhere, soaking us with water. Marcie does the most craziest thing she will ever do in her life.

She jumped over to the guys ski, threw him off, and drove around on it, almost drowning the guy. Us three on the shaft where dyeing of laughter.

Marcie stops by us, and laughs along with us. "Okay, give it back." Alex chuckled, and Marcie drove over to the guy still choking on water. "Wait, Dylan?"

"Marcie? Oh I'm so sorry! I didn't known it was you guys!" his annoying voice echoed and Marcie smiled.

"Yeah, sorry about stealing your ski... And almost drowning you... "

"It's okay. Can I get it back?" Marcie stood to the side and let Dylan get on, driving over to the shaft, he dropped Marcie off, waved, and drove away.

"Who's that?"

"Someone who needs to die." I muttered and gathered our soaked food. "Well, let's swim!" Kadence yelled and jumped into the water with a splash. Marcie jumped in after her and Alex.

I stayed on and watched as the three splashed and played.

Wonder why Ash isn't here . . .

Ashley's POV:

I didn't want to be here in the first place.

Mother Carol dragged me to a therapist. The worst thing to ever happen to me. I sat in a room with someone named Monica. She was sure happy and sweet and talked calmly which got on my nerves.

"So, tell me some of your dreams." She asked sweetly which ticked me off. I've gotten more therapy from Marcie then this imposter.

"I can't remember them well." even though there burned into my memory.

"Oh, do to remember anything?"

"No." Clear as day.

"So, anything life changing?"

"Melisa kicked me out of her house and separated me from my family."

Monica wrote down something.

"Thats all for today, thanks honey."

I stand up and leave without another word. If I wanted to get all emotional, Marcie was the one to do it in front. She doesn't judge people and welcomes everyone with a smile.

This, wasn't the same. This, was just going to scare me more. Mother Carol gave me a smile, and we walked out to the car. "How did it go?" She asked quietly.

"Horrible, please dont take me there again. Marcie could out run her in a long shot for therapy." I muttered.

Mom was quite, and said nothing all the way home.

Kendrick's POV:

We sat in the green grass of the park, Ashley was coming to join us. I was completely relaxed when Marcie poked me. "What?"

"She's here."

Ashley jumped out of her van looking car, and broke into a run. I jumped up, and bolted to her. We met half way, and I twirled her around, hugging her close.

"You feeling okay?" I ask as I lead her to the spot we are in.

"Yeah, just fine."

We all stretch out and talk about anything under the sky. It's when dark clouds rolled by when Dylan and his friend Eli from Texus came by. "Ashley." Dylan smiled widely.

"Nice day huh?" he laid right next to her, and looked at her with a look that was reserved for me.

He grabbed her hand, and pulled her up. He started dancing around and laughing, Eli clapping a tune. But that got me off. I kick Eli, swing up, and punch Dylan square in the jaw.

He let go of Ashley from surprise, then he tried to hit me. I jump time the right, and twist his arm around, shoving him into the ground. Dylan threw his head up, and almost bashed me.

It surprised me and I flew off him. But I was standing quicker then him. I kicked his stomach, and pulled him up. I punched him, and didn't stop.

My knuckles cracked, and blood was everywhere.

"KENDIRCK STOP!" Marcie threw me away, and kicked me. ME! And pretty damn hard.

"WHATS YOUR PROBLEM!" Dylan yelled, but Marcus turned on him.

"SHUT UP YOU LAZY ASS! YOU GET OUT OF MY SIGHT BEFORE I KNOCK YOU INTO NEXT TUESDAY!"

Dylan stood up, glaring at me. I only glared back. I hated him. I always will hate him, and if touches her one more time, I swear to god, he will die.

______________________________

I sit in my room, Marcie on the other side. She was rapping my hands just moments ago. "Why did you do that?" She asked.

"He touched-"

"Yeah I know, but there's something else. Something eating away at you." Marcie was to poetic.

"Are you afraid of losing her to a jerk like him?" I looked at her, and finally I admit my worries.

"She will leave if I don't get rid of him. She will leave me when she figures out how poor and ungrateful I am. She will leave when and figures out my past. I can't have more people leave Marcie. My mom . . ."

Marcie nods. And instead of saying 'deal with it, life's life.'

She says:

" Ashley has a horrible past also, which makes you guys perfect. Ashley has had family leave her, and many times she has called her self an ungrateful person. But she won't leave you because your poor. She will leave you if your a cruel heart. Are you? No, you aren't. You care for everyone. And she won't leave for a ass like him."

She stands, and leaves, no goodbyes. But the message was clear. Im okay, I'm still okay, and life will go on, and I'll be okay.

I'll be okay.
