Kendrick's POV:

Me and Ashley where stretched out in the grass at the park. She was resting her head on my stomach, and I was looking at the clouds.

"Me and Marcie decided, that if it's cloudy, someone's having a BBQ." I said randomly.

Ashley busted out laughing, she hasn't smile after the funeral, and it was good to hear her charmful laugh.

"Ashley?" Both of us tensed up.

Dylan stood a few feet away from us, looking really confused. I sent a dirty flare at him, "Get lost." I snapped.

He scoffed, "I'm sorry, but isn't Ashley my girlfriend now?" I jumped to my feet.

"Excuse me!" I yelled. Ashley glared at me for getting up so quickly, but she was standing up also.

"Yeah, that kiss sealed the deal." He growled.

"NO IT DIDNT!" Ashley shreicked. I balled my fists up.

"Dude, you where the one to kiss me, why where you even at my house!?" She said, folding her arms.

"I came by to make sure that asshat didn't hurt you." Dylan glared at me.

"Well, thanks to you, I almost lost him." She grabbed my hand. She was shaking.

He scoffed, "Are you kidding me!? "

Ashley sighed, "Dylan, just leave."

He then started to laugh. A very, creepy, laugh.

He then lunched at me, pulling a knife. He knocks me down, and I'm trying to keep to knife away. I struggle as he starts to overwhelm me.

"STOP! LEAVE HIM ALONE!" Ashley pushed Dylan away, and I jumped to my feet. Yanking my phone out, I tried to call the police.

Dylan then knocked my phone out of my hands, and shoved me up against a tree. "You're gonna die today. Just watch." He hissed, and the knife was barley above my head.

I held him back, but it came closer, inching by inch.

I kicked his leg, and bent over, I then kicked his stomach, making him fall over, I didn't run like my mind was screaming for me to do. I needed to end this.

I kicked his jaw, and he made a strange coughing noise. I grabbed him, and yanked him up, punching him in the gut. He collapsed again, and groaned.

I was now backing away, thinking I knocked him out.

Boy was I wrong.

He lunches at me again, and the knife barrows it self deep into my ribs. The most awful pain surges through me. I couldn't see any more, a sharp ringing in my ears.

But I grabbed Dylan, and I didn't let him run. I held onto him like it was life or death.

Judging the state I'm in, it's definitely death.

My vision blacks out, and I remember seeing Ashley's face.

Ashley's POV:

I paced the hospital halls, right outside his door. I watched the whole thing, and I will never forget the evil laugh that escaped the demon known as Dylan.

After he stabbed Kendrick, he saw the police that I called come up the road. He tried to run, but somehow, Kendrick had almost a death like grip. He couldn't do anything.

They got out, instantly arresting him, and calling an ambulance for him.

I was still pacing. Two hours.

TWO FLIPPING HOURS!

Surgery doesn't last that long!

I kept pacing.

This was bad. What happened if he was stabbed somewhere important? What happened if he was going to die young now? How much blood did he lose?

So much more questions flew through my head.

When a nurse walked out, my heart sunk.

"He's going to be okay." But then my heart rose.

I sighed, and nodded, "Thank you." The nurse walked away, and with that, a few nurses an a doctor filed out. The doctor giving me permission to go in.

He was staring wide awake at the ceiling, and he laid completely still. But he's alive. That's the good part.

"YOURE NOT DEAD!" I yell as I give him a huge hug. He laughs, and kisses my forehead.

"Yeah, I'm alright." I smiled as he hugged me.

This was good, this is how a relationship is supposed to go. This is how a story is going to end one day, with a happy ending. Where everyone lives, and everyone is smiling.

Even after their dark days, everyone is happy, me, Kendrick, Alex, Marcie, Kadence.

Everyone. And that's how my love life started.

The little girl stared at us with big eyes, "Wow grandma, that's the best story I've ever heard."

Ashley smiles, and pats her granddaughters head, "Yes, it was a wonderful story." She smiled at Kendrick, who was now roaming around the garden.

"A very wonderful story."
