“I can't believe you,” Roman hissed at me, “we had a plan.”
“That plan was over the moment you ate my leftovers, dear,” I reply. Then, in a louder voice, “Roman, I hope that you will take this ring as a symbol of my undying love. Will you marry me?”
“I hate you,” he glares at me, and then, “Yes Virgil, I would love nothing else.” Our families cheer as we hug.

“Virgil, what was that?” Roman fumes as we get to his house.
“What? Your family expected a proposal, so I proposed. With my grandmother’s ring, I might add. Don’t lose that.”
“We had a plan!”
Ah yes, the plan. A few months ago, Roman had approached me asking me to fake date him. He had many family events coming up and wanted to avoid the consistent questions about his love life. I agreed, but only if he would pose as my date to a company gala coming up. It wasn’t important, I just wanted to embarrass him. We had both agreed to break up after all of that. Recently though, he’s been getting on my nerves. He doesn’t clean any of the spoons, and he eats my leftovers. His cat also sheds on his clothes and he brings the fur to my house. So I decided to propose to annoy him. I mean, what was he going to say, no?
“Virgil. What are we supposed to do? I will not get married to you!” Ouch.
“Ok, so call off the engagement.”
“No. You proposed, you fix it.”
“What am I supposed to do? If I call off the wedding I’ll look like a jerk.”
“Well, you had better figure it out or get ready to buy me a dress.”

It had been three months and I had not figured it out. The past three months weren’t even that bad. Roman, wanting to annoy me I guess, had started wedding planning. It started with flowers and napkins, then a wedding venue, and now he was looking at wedding outfits. Apparently, we were having a Disney-themed fall wedding. In terms of weddings, it wasn’t that bad. The black and purple suit he had chosen for me was perfect for my complexion. We had even moved in together to avoid pressing questions from our families. Between family dinners and wedding planning, we had grown closer. Maybe I was even a little fond of him.
No.
I couldn’t be.
Right?

I hope you enjoyed this! I might do a part two, I might do from Romans perspective, not sure. This was mostly just to get me back into the swing of things.
