Delilah is getting her own book whoop whoop.
It takes place just over a year after the ending of Bailey. Delilah is going to college at Alabama University where one night she meets the lead singer of the band Intrusions.
Excerpt from Delilah:
"What's your name?" I ask before mentally face palming myself. The girl was literally hollering it minutes ago.
"Cole, Cole Kenneth." I snort and he furrows his brows, "And I am Bond, James Bond." I say in my fake British accent.
He rolls his eyes, "What's your real name James?"
"Delilah." I pause before adding, "Delilah Anders."

I also wanted to say a big thank you for all the positive feedback I have gotten so far on Bailey. It was my first book and I am sure there are many mistakes and plot holes...I will be going through and fixing those as I see them!
Also regarding Matt and Derrick they are slightly based on my ex boyfriend. The guy they are based on, I dated him for two years. I looked past so many awful things he said and did simply because of how much I loved him. Though he never went as far as Matt did he did gaslight me heavily through our relationship. In Delilah there will be a part where she goes into detail about an encounter she had with Matt. It has to do with using her feelings he knew she had for him and manipulating her into doing something she wasn't comfortable with. The virginity thing with Derrick did happen between me and my ex.
For context I was fourteen at the time and so was he. We were both freshman in high school. At first it was just jokes about how I was so innocent because I didn't want to do things with him. Then he began pulling the whole I clearly don't want to be in this relationship if I don't do those kinds of things with him. At fifteen I eventually caved and I lost my virginity to him. I was so inexperienced that I assumed that's what it was supposed to be like, just like how Delilah tells Bailey.
It wasn't until my current boyfriend that I learned it wasn't like that. Not just that but if you aren't ready no one should ever pressure you into doing it. If they use your feelings as a tool for manipulation they aren't worth it.
I just want to say I love all of you guys and never settle for less than you're worth. Trust that there is someone out there for you, who will make you feel special.
