The rest of the day was better than I imagined. Rosalie apologized on behalf of Edward and I told her not to worry about it since Edward's rudeness was not her fault.
Soon after leaving the school, I got bad news. My grandma was sick and I had to go see her. My mom had already booked a plane ticket for me and I was leaving Forks tonight.
After dinner and packing my stuff, Charlie dropped me off at the airport. Bella, however, didn't come. She said she was tired which I knew was an excuse but I was too concerned about my grandma to worry about her shitty attitude.
After what felt like a eternity I got off the plane and saw my mom waiting for me. We quickly hugged each other and went home.

It had been 3 weeks since I came to New York unexpectedly. My grandma was finally better and I had to go back to Forks. I wasn't in contact with many people except for The Swans and the Cullens. Edward had called me and apologized multiple times, he said he was stressed and had a sudden outrage.
He called me or texted me almost everyday asking how I was feeling and if my grandma was getting better. His kindness and thoughtfulness was almost melting my heart. He would make me laugh even when I was sad. I could confidently say I had feelings for him.
Feelings that were too dangerous for me.
But I had accepted the danger that came along with it.
Arriving a bit later than everyone, plus with a Porsche Cayman had led me to gaining unwanted attention. As I was looking for a parking spot I noticed Edward's shiny Volvo.
He was looking directly at me. The eye contact was almost unavoidable.
I quickly turned the steering wheel, breaking the eye contact with a smirk of victory displayed on my face. I got off the car after grabbing my backpack. I was wearing a baggy zip up with a short skirt. I began walking to the entrance, completely ignoring the stares and attention.
"Zara!" I heard Rosalie yell with Alice, Jasper and Emmett next to her.
"I missed you guys." I said with a smile.
"We missed you too!" Alice spoke on behalf of the group while others nodded.
Gym was quite uneventful except for Jessica and Mike's questions about my car and "disappearance".

I was about to enter the cafeteria till I noticed Bella staring at someone. I followed her gaze only to see Edward Cullen.
Their eyes were locked, staring deeply into each other. Although I had never experienced it, I knew the feelings behind the stares.
Love.
Before I knew it my eyes started to water.
The pain at my heart was growing as I continued to look at them.
The hopes vanishing.
And being replaced with unwanted feelings.
Sorrow.
Grief.
Regret.
Even jealousy.
The way these feelings were affecting me was annoying me. They made no sense to me.
He didn't like me.
I misunderstood him.
Misunderstood his kindness.
Misunderstood the hours long talks on the phone.
Misunderstood the comforting words.
Misunderstood his affection.
Misunderstood the type of love he had for me.
I had no right to be mad or feel this way but Bella. She was my best friend. She knew the way I felt about him.
Betrayed.
That was exactly how I felt as I continued to look at their gazes filled with love.
