"Someone your kind." I smirked, leaving an astonished Edward behind me.
I was walking to my biology class again, hoping the teacher wouldn't mind me being late. I was quite frustrated because of the Cullens. They were making life much harder for me. They just had to come back when everything was finally returning to normal for me.
I was also hoping that the Cullens' return wouldn't damage my relationship with Riley Biers. It wasn't exactly a relationship since he hadn't asked me out yet but I was hoping he would. I finally had feelings for someone who also liked me. The way he talked to me, the way he looked at me, the way he treated me. All of it felt special although we were just friends. I hadn't felt that happy and free in a long time and I didn't want to let go off my happiness.
Even if it meant being selfish.
I walked in my biology class and sat down at my seat next to Alex. I felt someone tap my shoulder and I looked behind me to see a pretty girl with slightly tan skin and long black hair. She was really I mean really pretty.
"Hey, I'm Ashley, I can give you my concealer if you'd like to cover your neck!" She smiled at me. I could tell she was genuine. I checked the clock and surprisingly there were still a few minutes left until the teacher arrived.
"I'm Zara, that'd be amazing." I smiled back.
She opened her bag, taking out an expensive looking concealer.
"I'll put it on for you if you want..?"
"Of course."
She began applying it to my neck gently, covering the hickeys almost magically. I could feel Edward's eyes on me. His stare was definitely a hard one to read. His amber eyes could almost pierce holes at me. Ignoring him was simply the best so I pretended like he wasn't doing so.
"It's all covered!" Ashley bubbled.
"Wow, thank you so much."
"No problem." She giggled.
I was listening to music the whole period since I had nothing better to do. I was trying to collect my thoughts and feelings. I wasn't sure of what I wanted to do and how Riley would act tonight was going to help me out. I wasn't seeing forgiving the Cullens as an option.
After biology I got Ashely's number and I began walking to my geography class. I was quite frustrated since I had to sit with Rosalie but the only thing I could do was to ignore her and act unbothered. Our geography teacher never agreed to change student's seats according to their wishes.
When I walked into the classroom I could see that Rosalie was looking at me. I continued walking to my seat and sat down next to her. She opened her palm.
"What?" I asked nonchalantly.
"Music?"
"Well we're strangers now aren't we?" I asked with a smile which was obviously faker than the Kardashians' body.
"Let me expla-" She was cut off by the teacher, I took a deep breath in relief and continued listening to my upsetting songs that made my mood even worse.
After the last bell rang I quickly went to my car to avoid any other Cullens. Only to see Edward already in front of my car.
"What the hell do you want? Move dude." I said rolling my eyes.
"No, not until you let me explain." He sighed.
"What's there to explain? You left me here for Bella."
"No, I was forced to! Bella was working with Riley and Victoria. Please let me explain." Edward exclaimed as he grabbed my hands with a worried expression on his face.
A/N: IM SO SORRY I HAVEN'T UPDATED! I'm not at turkey and it's 12am here. I've been too busy to update and I know this chapter is short but I gotta go to bed, I'm at my grandmas house and she keeps calling me for bed like pls let me write my chapter in peace😭. Anyways I'm going to a different city for vacation on Monday but I'll update as much as I can. I had a small writer's block but it's over. 😎 love you all <3
