Lilith arrived at the ominous Castle Dimitrescu, the heavy front door standing slightly ajar. She walked up the wet steps, the rain had finally ceased. Suddenly she stopped, sensing an unfamiliar presence behind the door.
"Step out from behind the door, maiden. I know you're there." she said slyly. The face of a woman, in her late 50s, peeked out from behind the door, gingerly opening the door slightly more.
"Is she dead?" was all she asked, but to Lilith's surprise, there was sadness in her voice.
"Yes. The daughters as well." she answered, frowning as she saw the maiden's face drop, a single tear escaping her brown eyes.
"Not happy like the rest of your traitorous colleagues? Why haven't you escaped like the rest of them?" she firmly gripped the maiden's chin with her index finger and thumb.
"I was very fond of the lady and her daughters. I've worked in this castle for over 20 years. They were like daughters to me, mistress." she said softly.
"Mmm. I might have use for you. What is your name, dear?" Lilith asked.
"Lorraine, mistress. Headmaiden of House Dimitrescu."
"Well, Lorraine. Do you wish to abandon your ladies as well? Return to the village?" Lilith growled slightly.
"I wouldn't dream of it. I'll help you with anything you need, mistress?"
"Lilith Amelia Blake. Will you do anything it takes, to bring them back?"
"Anything. Do you have a plan?" her eyes lit up.
"Indeed. For now, however, I will ask you to help me close up all the broken windows. I can feel the cold breeze. And then, once we are done, you will take me to her private chambers." she ordered. She lit a cigarette, inhaling deeply.
"Of course. Thank you for caring, mistress Blake." she smiled, looking up at Lilith.
"Don't. I do not care. I will simply use them, after which, I couldn't care less what happens to them. They're simply tools I need." Lilith cackled, smiling wide. Lorraine's smile faded instantly, but she kept quiet. Nodding instead.
"I like you. I think we'll get along swimmingly." Lilith smiled wickedly, walking past the maiden, admiring the castle interior. The two of them closed the broken windows, before Lorraine escorted Lilith to the Lady's private chambers.

Once there, Lilith looks around the massive room, chuckling at the size of the bed. The furniture was a dark mahogany, complimenting the white walls, decorated with golden floral motifs. The room was a mess however, the broken furniture littered the floor. Lorraine immediately started cleaning up, as Lilith took a seat on a giant wing back chair, somehow still intact.
"Bit of a bad temper this one! Just like me! Holy shit! I wish I could see her lose her temper, breaking all the furniture!" Lilith laughed.
"Indeed. She's very... Passionate." Lorraine mumbled, making Lilith laugh hysterically. Once Lorraine has cleaned up the room properly, Lilith conjured three smaller beds on the opposite side of the room. Lorraine had brought fresh linen and bedding for all the beds.
"Are you familiar with witchcraft?" Lilith asked as she watched Lorraine replace the bedding.
"No, mistress. Not at all."
"Mmm. Be a darling and bring me candles. As many as you can find." Lorraine nodded and rushed out of the room. Lilith got off of the giant chair, and walked to the massive bed in the corner of the room. She took out Alcina Dimitrescu's crystal torso from within her robes, placing her on the bed. She hummed a cheerful tune, despite her dark and gloomy surroundings. Lightning flashed outside, lighting the room briefly with blinding white light. The storm is coming back. She walked over to the smaller beds and placed the crystallized torso of Bela, Cassandra and Daniela on the beds. Lorraine returned soon, carrying many candles of all shapes, colors and sizes in a basket. The two of them placed the candles all over the room, around the beds, on the floor, on the nightstands and on the vanity. Lilith exhaled sharply and closed her eyes.
"Lorraine, cut your wrist slightly, and walk around and drip some of the your blood on the torsos." Lilith asked. Lorraine hesitated, but continued to do as the witch asked.
"Ignis" she murmured, and all the candles in the room lit up all at once.
"What would you have me do, mistress?"
"Just stand to the side and look pretty." she laughed, making Lorraine smile.
"Just stand to the side. Your blood already helped a lot. I'm about to do a resurrection spell. Do not interrupt me." Lilith said, standing in the middle of the room.

She lit a cigarette, letting it hang lazily between her lips. She looked like she was asleep. She held out her hands, one palm facing down, the other palm facing up. Lorraine moved to the corner of the room, getting a bit scared.
"Homicidii, vitae mors angelus, accipere munus et ossa et sanguis et spiritus. Tua aeternitale eas mihi." she hummed, as black smoke leaked from her hands, creeping towards the torsos. The smoke slowly engulfed them, before seeping into the women.
"Eos deducere in terra viventium." she whispered the last part, taking a long drag from her cigarette. She opened her eyes again, glancing to Lorraine in the corner of the room.
"Scared, maiden? Come along now. I'm famished." Lilith mumbled, walking out of the room. Lorraine noticed her limping slightly, but said nothing as she followed Lilith. She glanced back to her ladies, hearing the faint sound of glass cracking. She walked behind the witch, carefully watching her. There was something different about her, having peculiar mannerisms. Humming while she walked, she laughed every now and then, as if she told herself a joke. To everyone around her, she might have seemed insane. Lorraine laughed softly as she thought that the witch probably was insane. There were no other maidens, and the castle was in total disarray. After Ethan Winters bombarded in, he destroyed almost everything as he went.
"Bastard practically destroyed the place! Lorraine, would you be able to find maidens for the castle? Unless you plan on cleaning this yourself?" she made little sweeping movements with her hands. She kicked a piece of broken glass playfully with her boot.
"Yes, mistress. I'll find some. I'll go to the village tomorrow first thing." she said, looking out a window at the dark night outside. They move to the kitchen, and Lilith brewed some coffee.
"What would you like, mistress?" Lorraine asked. It seems like the kitchen was one of the few rooms to be destroyed.
"Pancakes!!" Lilith sang, smiling excitedly. Like a child. Lorraine chuckled, before she left to gather all the ingredients. Lilith watched as Lorraine happily made the pancakes, asking her a question every now and then.
"How long will it take for them to return?" Lorraine asked, taking a bite from her pancake.
"It depends on them, dear. On how badly they want to return. The longest I've waited before, was two years. The girls I'm not too worried about. The lady on the other hand..." she mumbled with a mouth full of pancake.
"Why were you limping earlier?"
"When I bring back someone from the land of the dead, it takes a little bit of me. The longer they've been dead, the more it takes." Lilith explained. She kept quiet, deep in thought. The lady had to watch her daughters die. Something no parent should ever have to go through. 'The woman might need some help.' she thought to herself.

Not only did she endure the terrible grief of losing her children, but also she had to deal with the fact that her own mother was responsible. Lilith growled softly at the thought. 'Why am I feeling pity towards the vampire?' she thought to herself.
"I'll be off, mistress. I'm quite tired after today's horrible events. Have a peaceful evening, mistress Lilith." Lorraine said, receiving a hum from the witch, her mouth still full of pancakes. The maiden left the kitchen, leaving Lilith to her thoughts. After a while, Lilith went back to the Lady's bedroom, skipping through the halls. She hardly ever slept, her night terrors preventing her from getting a peaceful sleep. It must've been early in the morning, around 3am, when she entered the bedroom. She first checked on the girls, seeing their crystal torsos slowly growing, the crystal extending. She walked to the Lady's torso, seeing that she remained unchanged. Lilith sighed, before going to the massive arm chair again, removing a Stephen King novel from somewhere in her black cloak. She relaxed in the chair, her focus turned on her book.
