Lilith couldn't help but giggle hysterically as Lady Dimitrescu's claws extended, stopping just below her jaw. The lady frowned deeply, nothing but anger and rage in her eyes.
"Who are you?! Why are you in my room?!" she demanded, a slight growl accompanying her voice. Her claws was pressing down harder on Lilith's neck.
"Calm down, amare. I mean you no harm." Lilith said, grinning. They forgot about the screaming, being abruptly ripped from the dream.
"Call me that again, and you'll find my claws somewhere uncomfortable." she hissed.
"Don't tease." Lilith laughed, grabbing the claws with her hand. Lady Dimitrescu was about to retaliate, when her daughters screamed again. She instantly dropped Lilith, running towards the door. Lilith, also concerned about the girls, jumped from the bed and ran after the Lady.
"Where are they?!" Lady Dimitrescu screamed at a maiden, who was shocked, seeing the lady of the castle for the first time. She aggressively shoved the maiden out of the way, before running down the hall again. Lilith was now next to her, when they finally reached the library, where the screams came from. The huge stained glass window was shattered, bits of colorful broken glass laying all over the floor. The freezing winter air was flowing into the castle. Before Lilith could even react, Lady Dimitrescu ran to her daughters and picked them up, their bodies stiff and shivering from the cold. She dashed out of the room, leaving Lilith facing three vampire hunters. They stood by the window, each holding a weapon. Their eyes fell on Lilith, making them gasp, the terrifying smile she gave them, making them back up slowly.
"Pathetic men. You've walked straight into the wolf's jaws. How dare you enter this castle?!" Lilith growled, slowly walking towards the men.
"Fuck off, witch!" one man yelled, throwing an axe towards her. She easily dodged the weapon, laughing, holding her stomach.
"Wrong answer. Now gentlemen, I do think that the young ladies of the castle will be famished when they wake." she said, holding out her hand, her palm facing them. She made a sweeping motion with her hand, sending all three men flying into a bookshelf. The impact was hard enough to break bones. Two of the men were knocked out cold, one man was gripping his broken arm.
"May God have mercy on your wicked soul!" he hissed, tears running down his face. Lilith frowned, holding her chin with her index finger and thumb, pretending to be deep in thought.
"Who?" she laughed, swiftly jumping on the man, grinning menacingly. She slapped him, not hard enough to hurt him, but hard enough to make him angry."Be a dear and sit still while I fix the pretty window." Lilith sang as she playfully skipped over to the window. As if making time move backwards in slow motion, the glass flew back to where the window frame was. The shards connected one by one, completing the puzzle. Smiling proudly, the window was fixed once more. Lilith turned and faced the man, feeling mischievous, looking at him with a smirk.
"Run." she said, making the man jump up.
"10, 9, 8, 7..." Lilith counted, covering her eyes with her arm, playing hide and seek. She could sense someone watching her, but decided to ignore it, enjoying herself too much. The man was already out of the library, his heart exploding out of his chest. She flicked her wrist, making him trip and fall, screaming in pain.
"You're not very good at hiding! You're making this game boring!" Lilith whined, pouting.
"J-just let me g-go!" the man begged, crying pathetically.
"No where's the fun in that? How dare you harm the girls?" she asked calmly, placing her hands on her hips.
"You're going to wish you never set foot in this castle!" she yelled, a psychotic smile on her face. She was about to pick him up, but a flash of white flew past her, snatching the hunter. The man's corpse dropped to the floor, completely drained of blood.
"Jeez. Ever heard of sharing is caring? Then again, you were unconscious for three weeks, amare." Lilith watched as Lady Dimitrescu wiped the blood from her mouth. She turned her gaze to Lilith, making her heart skip a beat, a strange feeling in her stomach growing. 'What the fuck' she thought to herself.
"Who. Are. You. Witch?" Lady Dimitrescu enunciated each word, lacing them with poison as she slowly walked towards Lilith."My name is Lilith Amelia Blake, darling. I mean you no-" Lilith let out a yelp, unable to contain a laugh escaping her mouth, as Lady Dimitrescu lunged at her and pinned her to the wall. She was much smaller than the Lady, which means her feet were dangling beneath her. The Lady's one hand was wrapped around her neck, the other hovering in front of her stomach, claws extended. Lady Dimitrescu blinked, to make sure she heard correctly.
"...no harm?" Lilith squeaked, giggling.
"Are you laughing?! Is this amusing to you?!" she growled, pressing her claws into Lilith's stomach, starting to pierce her skin.
"I did laugh. Yes." Lilith commented, smiling happily. Lilith was afraid at first, of the feelings growing inside of her, since the first time she visited Lady Dimitrescu in her dreams. But looking into her angry golden eyes changed something inside her. A new feeling came to light, and she didn't know what it meant.
"Do I amuse you, witch?" Lady Dimitrescu hissed.
"No, not at all. I'm deathly afraid at the moment, but my feelings amuse me."
"What?" Lady Dimitrescu frowned, her claws receding a bit.
"Mother, wait!" Bela came running, followed by Daniela and Cassandra.
"She's the one who brought us back!" Daniela said.
"And she saved Bela's life!" Cassandra added, placing her hand on Daniela's shoulder.
"Took you long enough!" Lilith laughed, smiling at the girls. They rolled their eyes and smiled back. But their smiles soon faded, seeing the look their mother gave the witch.
"Do not talk to my daughters like that. Ever. Do you understand?" she said calmly.
"Yes, amare. Duly noted." Lilith didn't stop smiling. Lady Dimitrescu's eyes snapped up, glaring at the witch.
"What did you just call me?" she tightened her grip on Lilith's neck, her claws cutting deeper, a little blood escaping.
"Mother, please!" the girls cried in unison.
"Hush! Witch, answer me."
"Amare?" she choked, getting a little light headed. Lady Dimitrescu recalled the pet name, and her eyes scanned Lilith's features. She gasped slightly, abruptly dropping Lilith, who landed on her feet. The Lady quickly left the room without saying another word, leaving Lilith and her daughters behind.
"Stupendo." Lilith mumbled, like a lovesick teenager.
