Concentrating hard, Alcina was lost in her book, sitting in the couch in the library. Lilith was standing at the huge stained glass window, contemplating. The matriarchs were waiting for the younger generation to arrive. It was late afternoon, the sun was shining through the window, bathing Lilith in different, bright colors. She was deep in thought, her mind far away, with a peaceful yet worried expression on her face. Alcina looked up at Lilith, noticing that she was abnormally quiet. The cigarette was lazily hanging between her lips and a glass of wine was hanging from her fingers. She was wearing skinny jeans with an open-back lace blouse, showcasing her smooth alabaster skin faintly painted with scars. Alcina closed her book and placed it on the table, before walking over to Lilith. She hugged her from behind, wrapping her arms around her waist and resting her head on Lilith's shoulder.

"Are you alright?" she asked softly, placing little kisses on her neck. Lilith closed her eyes, smiling softly while she enjoyed her lover's touch.

"I am darling. Do not fret." she turned around and kissed Alcina.

"What are you thinking about?"

"Grace. And a foreboding." she sighed, tucking a strand of Alcina's hair behind her ear.

"Grace? Why?" Alcina couldn't help but chuckle softly at the tiny bit of jealousy she felt.

"Calm. There's something off... I can't see myself trusting her. She's too quiet, she makes me nervous." she rested her forehead on Alcina's collar bone.

"Hmm. I agree. We'll speak to Cassandra later. Are you sure you're alright?" Alcina took her face and lifted her head so that their eyes met.

"Where's that maniacal witch I fell in love with?"

"I'm here... I'm just... Worried." Lilith gave a small smile.

"Be strong, love. I know you're strong enough. Be strong for the younglings." Alcina kissed her lovingly.

"I love you." Lilith said in a sing song voice.

"I love you. Come, let's get this over with. They're in the lounge already." Alcina sighed.

"I miss being young." Lilith complained.

"You are young!" Alcina laughed warmly, leading Lilith by hand towards the lounge.

They entered the lounge, finding their daughters, Karl, Donna and Grace sitting on the couches, watching them expectantly.

"Well, well. Happy to see that you listened to us." Lilith lit cigarettes for her and Alcina.

"Grace, please give us some privacy. Family matters, you see." Alcina forced her friendliness. Grace frowned and looked at Cassandra expectantly, but Cassandra didn't look at her and just shrugged. Grace huffed before walking out of the room. As soon as she left, Cassandra rolled her eyes and Lilith relaxed a bit. The room was deafening, as nobody said a word. Finally, Lilith spoke.

"We heard your conversation at the lake." as soon as she finished her sentence, all of them started arguing, defending themselves.

"That's enough!" Alcina shouted, making the entire room go quiet. Lilith blew out smoke from her nose, imitating a dragon.

"If any of you go to Miranda, I swear to god I will never forgive you." Lilith growled, balling her fists. She got annoyed with herself as she struggled to keep control of herself.

"You will not make an attempt at that hag's life. She's far too dangerous. Do you hear me?" she breathed fast, her body shaking slightly.

"Your mother is right. If any one of you defy our words, there will be severe consequences. And believe me when I say, I am not afraid to use the dungeons." Alcina threatened, with the sweetest of smiles.
