What Did I Do To Deserve It?

"I... Um... He..." I stuttered with my words

I didn't know how to tell Jake

Hey I just cheated on you with my ex

Without sounding like a total jerk

"Ashley tell me what's wrong"

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry" I said shaking

"Ashley" Jake said looking in my eyes

"I don't know how to tell-"

"Jake!" I turned around to see a pretty pissed off girl

"Who... who's that?" I asked looking back to Jake

"Rachel" he said putting his hands in his pockets

"Babe who's this?" Rachel asked

I had my head down but when I heard the word babe I looked up at Jake and walked off

"Ash-"

"Who was that dork" Rachel interrupted as she watched me walk away

"Who cares anyway"

Jake looked up at Rachel

"Forget it"

I was so done with the day

I walked all the way home by myself

I saw my moms car but there was another car

It looked like Austin's

I walked inside quickly waiting to just see Austin talking to my mom

I heard my mom laughing and I was so confused

I walked to the kitchen to see some man and my mom

My mom turned and saw me

"Ashley what are you doing home so early?"

I avoided the question she asked me

I was more interested in who this man was

"Who's this" I said keeping my eyes locked on the man"

"Right, this is Darek, he has a son who goes to your school"

"Well I'm going up to my room"

"Um okay"

I ran up to my room and got on my phone to see a text message

Unknown: Don't even come near Jake again

Well that's gonna be hard

Me and Jake are dating

I thought

I got in comfortable clothes

Then got on my laptop and watched Netflix

It was after school hours when I got a call from Austin

"What is it" I said

"I wanted to come over"

"Well my mom is home so you can't"

"Can't I just sneak in?"

"No" I said and hung up on him

A couple minutes later I got a text

Jake: Ashley I'm breaking up with you, I found someone else that's worth my time, I don't want to see you again

I read the text over and over again
