It was my first day of school I didn't really want to go because my boyfriend has just broken up with me a while before I left California.
"Ashley come eat breakfast now you don't wanna be late for your first day" my mom said.
I walked down stairs and sat down with a gloomy face.
"Do I have to go mom?" I said trying to make her let me stay.
"Your still sad about you know who aren't you" she said looking at me.
"Ok first his name is- ok forget his name but yeah I'm still pretty sad about it"
"Well let's see how you hold up today then call me if you wanna come home okay?"
"Ok"
I went upstairs and put on a pair of shorts a shirt I brushed my teeth put my hair in a ponytail and got in the car
My mom grabbed the keys got in the car and drove to school
"Hang in there" she rubbed my shoulder and I got out the car
I waved goodbye to my mom then she drove off as I quickly turned around and walked I bumped into someone
"Sorry" we said and I looked down and grabbed my stuff our hands touched and I looked up at him and couldn't look away
"Are you ok" he said and I snapped out of my staring episode
"Yeah I'm Ashley I mean fine" I said embarrassed
He giggled a little "well I'm Jake and here's your bag"
"Thanks" I said grabbing the bag
"Do you need help getting to your class"
"Yeah actually"
Jake looked at my schedule "oh you have Mr. Bonewoods too he's so boring"
"Follow me"
We walked to class and people looked at me and Jake
"You got another girlfriend huh Jake" a girl said "Rachel won't be happy to hear that"
"Me and Rachel aren't a thing anymore"
"Try telling her that cuz that's not what she thinks"
The girl walks away
"What was that about" I say wondering why he didn't tell her that we weren't dating, or did he forget
"Well here we are"
"Thanks"
We walked in class and a boy stared at me
"Ah it looks like we have a new student, and what might your name be" Mr. Bonewoods asked
"My names Ashley"
"Well Ashley take a seat"
The only seat that was open was behind the boy that was staring at me
I sat down and and looked at Jake diagonal from me and he looked back and smiled a little then looked back to the front
"Hi I'm Dylan" a girl says holding out her hand
I shake her hand
"So how do you like Lakewood High School"
"It's good besides the fact that everyone keeps staring at me"
"Well maybe it's the fact that your fricken beautiful and they're jealous"
"I guess I'll take that as a compliment"
"Ok class time to learn some biology" Mr. Bonewoods said
After class Dylan walked out with me and Jake walked in front of us
"I'll catch up with you later ok Dlyan?"
"Ok"
I started walking up to Jake but I heard someone call my name and I turn around to see the boy that was looking at me
"Ashley right?"
"Yeah that's me"
"Well I'm Logan, what class do you have next"
Jake's by his locker and sees Logan talking to me and he got a little jealous
"I have English with Mrs. Partly"
"Me too wanna walk there together"
I saw Jake by his locker
"Actually maybe another time I have to go see someone sorry"
"It's ok see ya"
I walked over to Jake
"Hey" I said trying to look in his eyes when he looked a different direction
"I see you found another tour guide"
"Uh are you jealous?" I laughed a little
"What's so funny" he said smiling a little when he saw me laugh
"It's just my first day and your jealous of another guy trying to get to know me"
"When a guy gets to know you he takes you on a date then that leads to another date then the first kiss and then you know they-"
"Ok woah woah I don't need to hear that" I laughed
Jake laughed too and when he laughed he got cute little dimples
The bell rang and I went to English
When school ended me and Dylan walked out together
My mom drove by and I ran to the car
"How was the first day"
"Good so um can Dylan come over" I said looking and Dylan and my mom looked over at her and Dylan was waving
"Sure at least you made some friends"
"Ok great, Dylan come on"
Me and Dylan got in the car and drove to my house
