A poorly disguised snicker paused Buck mid reach for the salt at the center of the table. He looked up to see Chimney red-faced and laughing, and Hen who was doing her best to hide her cackling behind her hand but failed in fooling anyone. Buck's forehead creased. "What?" He asked looking between them then to Bobby. Bobby shrugged as if he didn't know, but Buck saw a smile break through. Next to him Albert snorted. "Nice manicure, man. Purple sparkles, very macho." This made Chim and Hen burst out another laugh. Buck turned his hand over and inspected the polish. "It's just nail polish." He shrugged. What was the big deal? His friends continued to laugh as he salted his food and finished quickly.

Buck put his plate in the sink and made his way to the stairs. Just as he was stepping down Chimney spoke. "Hey, Buck?" The man turned. "Yeah?" Chim gasped a few times then sobered his expression. "I was just wondering… do your toes match?" This set everyone left at the table off on a wild laughing fit. "Haha, very funny. I don't see what the big deal is. Gwyn wanted to do mani-pedis last night so we did. It's called being a girl dad, clearly you could use a lesson or two Chimney." His friend scowled. "Hey I am an excellent girl dad. Thank you very much. Just ask Jee-Yun, we had a tea party just yesterday." Albert giggled at that. "Oh you shut up. Don't act like I don't have a plethora of photos of you dressed as a princess." Chimney said to his brother, quieting him instantly. 

Bobby chuckled and stood. "Hey guys no need to argue, it's sweet how those girls have you wrapped around their little fingers. Nothing wrong with making your daughters and nieces happy." Everyone considered this for a moment. "No, I still can't get over the sparkles." Chimney wheezed. Buck rolled his eyes. "Fuck you." He stepped down the stairs calling over his shoulder. "No, they don't match, my toes are pink sparkles." Albert fell out of his chair laughing.
