~Islas' POV~
I woke up today not hearing anything out on deck, I looked around not seeing Captain in his cot, I sighed getting up pulling on my boots. I went to the mirror braiding the front of my hair off to the side behind my ear before putting it up in a high ponytail.
When I was done I walked out on deck looking at the stars before going to the bow feeling the sea spray on my face. I sighed in perfect bliss before hearing boots coming behind me, I turned to see Captain Silas standing there.
"Well, you're up early Princess."
My eyes went wide.
"How did you?..."
"It's not hard to tell, so why'd ya run away?"
I sighed turning back to the stars as he came and stood next to me waiting for me to tell him of the life I had before I left for the life I have now.
"I've always loved the sea, however it was always forbidden, before I left I met the Prince my parents had chosen for me. He told me that after we married I would have to forget the sea, I knew then that I couldn't stay, I couldn't marry him. I know this is where I'm meant to be, free among the waves, under the stars, I'm not meant for a life of solitude in stone walls."
He looked at me with a small smile on his face before he nodded his head.
"Before I became a Pirate I was arranged to marry a girl in my village, I ran away, did the same thing you're doing and it's the best choice I ever made. I promise I'll protect you the best I can, however when we dock at noon, I need you to get rid of that dress."
"And why's that?"
He smirked.
"Lets just say a pirate needs to look the part, and you Princess look like a lady from a farm."
"Alright, well Captain what would you like me to do first?"
"Silas."
I gave him a confused look.
"I beg your pardon."
"My name is Silas, you can call me by name if you want."
"Well Silas, you may call me Isla, if you wish."
He smiled nodding his head.
"Okay Isla, I informed the crew of your presence and the only thing they could think of was them working hard so you wouldn't have to. That being said you don't have to do much, just help out when needed, that sound alright to you?"
"Actually no, I want to be more than a Princess at sea, I came to work, and work I shall."
He nodded his head and I looked out over the bow to see the sun rising, I smiled and it was then that the crew emerged from below deck. They looked at me and I instantly felt uncomfortable but sighed, they smirked and I shook my head.
