~Islas' POV~
I woke up today with Silas' arms wrapped around my waist, hugging me close, I sighed, rolling over to see him already awake. I smiled, placing a small kiss on the tip of his nose, he gave me a small smile and I sighed not wanting to get up. Silas climbed over me getting dressed, pulling on his boots, and sheathing his sword to his waist. I sat up holding the covers to my chest before giving him a confused look, all he did was smirk at me.
"Get up, there are no honeymoons for Pirates, we have work to do."
I sighed getting out of bed as he walked out, I pulled out the dress that I got in Tortuga smirking at it. There may be no honeymoons for Pirates, but he'll just about have a heart attack when he sees me in this little beauty. I pulled on the long sleeve thigh length white under dress before buckling the black over dress to my body. I pulled on a pair of thin heeled knee high black boots, before starting on my hair, I pulled parts back into a bun letting the rest flow freely, with strands hanging in my face. I strapped my sheath to my hips before sheathing my sword and grabbing my hat, I put on a black heart necklace before looking in the mirror one last time.
I walked out of the room closing the door behind me placing the hat on my head, I watched everyone's head turn and I smirked looking up at Silas. He looked at me leaning against the helm with a smirk on his face and lust in his eyes, I smirked before getting to work. I watched Sweet work up on the mast, however a huge gust of wind came up knocking him over to where he was just hanging there. My eyes went wide and I started to climb, the whole time I could hear Silas yelling at me to stop and get down. I just ignored him and continued to climb, when I reached Sweet he looked up at me with fear in his eyes.
"You shouldn't be up here, Cap is pissed as is."
I chuckled a bit.
"I don't care how pissed he is, I'm up here to help you, now take my hand and I'll pull you up."
He reached up taking my hand in his, I pulled him up making him straddle the mast, he looked down before looking at me shaking his head.
"Thank you, but Cap is mighty pissed at you."
"He'll get over it, now are you finished up here?"
He shook his head.
"No, I still have a bit more to do."
"Then let me help you."
He shook his head silently telling me that it wasn't a good idea, however I wasn't going to let him talk me into leaving. He's my friend and he needs help, there's nothing he can do or say that'll make me leave this mast.
"Thank you Isla, but Cap is looking at me like he wants to throw me over bored."
"He won't, now let me help, what do you have left to do?"
He sighed knowing that he was wasting his breath and that I wasn't going to give this up, so he told me what to do and we went to work. As we were up there things got a little shaky with the wind and all but we soon finished what needed to. When everything was done, Sweet and I climbed down only for Silas to come running over to me. He hugged me close before pulling away holding me at arms length looking me over, shaking his head.
"Damn-it Isla, are you ever going to stop being so stubborn and start listening to me?"
"You can't ask me to change who I am Silas."
He sighed looking at Sweet.
"You need to be more careful, stop getting my wife into dangerous situations, she should've never been up there."
I shook my head, placing my hand on his chest stopping him from continuing his rant.
"No, I told him I'd stay, I went up there to help save a member of our crew, this stops now, I am not some helpless Princess anymore, I am a Pirate. I did what anyone else would've done, I love you Silas, but you have to get over all of this, and start treating me like a member of this crew. He didn't get me into anything, I got myself up there, I got myself down, that's all that there is to it."
"Fine."
With that he walked away and all I could do was wish that he could get over all of his petty problems, however I know that that'll never happen. I sighed looking at Sweet, he shook his head before walking away from me, I went up to the helm as Silas stood there looking beyond furious. I sighed going behind him wrapping my arms around his waist, he sighed, shaking his head.
"Why do you have to make everything so difficult."
"It's who I am, would you love me if I was any less than me?"
"No, I suppose not, but will you please stop putting me through hell and making me worry all the time."
I laughed, shaking my head.
"I'll try, but I can't make any promises, this is who I am."
"I know, I just wish you weren't so stubborn."
"Good luck with that wish."
He laughed making me come to his side before he slung his arm over my shoulders before placing a kiss on my temple. I sighed resting my head on his shoulder knowing that everything was right again, even if it is only for a short time. At the end of the night when everyone was turning in I decided to stay at the helm, as Silas came over wrapping his arms around my waist holding me close.
"You coming to bed."
I shook my head.
"No, there's no honeymoon for pirates, I have to keep us on the right course."
"Isla..."
"I woke up early wanting to spend time with my husband, only he left me to keep up with his work. You stated it simply "Pirates don't have honeymoons" there for I have work to do and you have sleep to catch up on. I'll see you in the morning, I love you, and I have everything under control, now get some sleep."
He sighed knowing that I was right and wasn't giving into what he wanted, he went on to bed and I stayed behind feeling the breeze blow through my hair and freedom hit me once again, and for what I knew wouldn't be the last time.
