Orazia and her mother were enjoying a nice day at the beach. Not that they were going to get too tanned, sunbathing was terribly dangerous and it was necessary to protect the skin as much as possible. But still, it was nice to enjoy the sea breeze and take a swim in the secluded cove.

Months ago, Orazia would have been surprised if anyone had told her that she would enjoy spending so much time alone with her mother. She missed Carlos... and even if it was hard to admit, she missed Orazio too. But being with her mother was good for her. There alone, the two of them, it was easy to forget about the things she had been doing lately: stealing and killing.

Orazia lay face down on the towel trying to forget. It was a matter she had not yet spoken to her mother about and she didn't know how to deal with it. How had she ended up doing that kind of thing?

Orazia glanced sideways at her mother who was lying on her back beside her. The Isis hormone had affected her in a similar way to Orazia. She was a very tall woman (though not as tall as Orazia) and very strong. She had been very sympathetic to her and supportive even though she was a runaway.

But could she tell her about the life she was leading now? Orazia stopped looking at her mother. No, she couldn't. She couldn't bear the way she would look at her when she found out she was a thief and a murderer. She didn't need that. She needed to let herself be loved and cared for by her mother.

After a while, Orazia's mother got up. "I'm going to miss this," she said, hugging her daughter. "I'm going to miss you."

Orazia hugged her mother in turn. She smiled, but a tear began to run down her cheek. She brushed it away. "I'm going to miss you too, mom."

Suddenly Orazia's cell phone rang. It was J4N3.
- I'm sorry - apologized Orazia - but I have to answer it.

Orazia got up to answer it.
- Orazia! Are you okay? - asked J4N3 - I've been calling all afternoon!

- Look, I appreciate that... - Orazia started to say, but J4N3 cut her off.
- Is your mother with you?

- Yes.
- Great! Now try not to lose your temper. - said J4N3 - I don't know if you are safe there. Isis and her cult are on our trail again. You have to come to the bunker immediately.

- What happened? - said Orazia in alarm - Are you all right?

- It's a long story - J4N3 said - But what is most important is that you get here as soon as possible. And under no circumstances can your mother return to her home.

Orazia quickly ended the call.

- We have to go! Now! - she said to her mother.
Orazia's mother looked at her in confusion. "Why? What's wrong?"

- I'll explain on the way - said Orazia.

Emma woke up with a horrible hangover. At first she had trouble figuring out where she was. It wasn't her home. Then memories of the night before began to come flooding back to her mind. She was in one of the safe houses of "The Company" hiding from a cult of lunatics who for some reason she still didn't understand wanted to capture her and Orazio.

Speaking of Orazio... The safe house was not very big and Orazio was nowhere to be seen. She looked in the bathroom... nothing.

She consulted the messaging app on her neurochip. She had one from Orazio: "When you wake up I'm in the bar below."

After washing up a bit (she had no clothes to change into) Emma went down to the street. She immediately saw Orazio sitting on the terrace of a bar a few meters from the block of apartments where the safe house was located.
