The day of Hoseok's Mixtape release was actually stressful for me. There was a notification from Spotify saying they had technical problems and didn't know if the would be able to fix it for the releases which were set for the day.
After that I got response from London, where we asked for the Wembley Stadium. The space around the building would have made it much easier to plan the concert and it would have been much more relaxing for the fans.
But as soon as I opened the mail I saw the second line.'We regret to tell you that we won't be able to have you and BTS at Wembley.'
I knew that Wembley was a big deal and they were still sceptical but that just ruined my day. Frustration was making me angry, the guys worked so hard and still they were jokes to some old western people who couldn't even dance a foxtrot.
Without hesitation I grabbed my phone and dialled the american number."Hello?" The deep voice of Jared answered and I leaned my head on my palm.
"Hi, am I disturbing anything?" My voice was tensed and I really wanted to punch someone.
"No, I am just doing paperwork, how are you?" The rustling of paper was in the background and I closed my eyes before I sighed.
"I am deeply frustrated. They just denied the Wembley Stadium for Bangtan, I will have to get along with the O2 Arena, which is forcing us to plan the concerts different from Seoul. Oh and then I got a notification from Spotify saying they have some technical issues and they are not sure if they are able to fix it for todays releases." The man on the other side exhaled loudly.
"Well, that sound like a pretty shit day."A dry chuckle left both of our mouthes and I rubbed my forehead with my eyes closed.
"Why are people such idiots? It's not like we wouldn't pay for Wembley, but they are just like 'we don't believe the capacity is necessary' and even better 'we don't think your group fits in the range of artist we were having here'. I mean, excuse me?" It was really getting onto my nerves and I suppressed a bunch of insults.
"Wembley is their everything. They had freakin Queen in there, Bon Jovi, The Stones, ...and then you come along with a Korean pop group, that's not so easy going to happen."
A knock on the door echoed through my office and I massaged my temples while I called whoever was outside into my office. Hobi and Jin appeared in the doorframe."We will get Wembley at some point, and then I'll smile brightly into their faces. Anyway, have a better day than me. My kids are here." He laughed and I hung up, the call got my mood up a bit and I looked at the two men in front of me.
"Wembley?" Hoseok looked at me confused and Jin came over to massage my shoulders.
"Well, I have seen the organisation at the last concerts in London and I've read some of the feedback from the Armies. It was too small and everything happened in a rush before the concert started. I was thinking maybe I could get you the Wembley Stadium, for the next tour. Your fans could access the area outside and enjoy nearly the same experience as your fans here in Korea. Even if the company didn't agree yet, the managers in London cancelled my request."
Hobi smiled reassuringly at me and just shrugged."It's fine, the place we have been before was already huge. Don't worry about this. Wembley is still a number too big for us." Jin's fingers loosened my muscles and I sighed. Hobi didn't even know about issue with Spotify.
"Wembley is not too big for you. They are just a bunch of stupid idiots. Anyway, Hobi,"
my computer announced a email and it was from Spotify. Quickly I read through it and a smile appeared on my lips. Relief rushed through my body.
"Oh my god... Alright, nervous about the release of your mixtape? I just got the confirmation from Spotify that everything is set." The addressed rubbed the back of his neck nervously and I took Jin's hand off my shoulders and clapped with them over my head.
