Andra POV:
After waking up the next morning me and Kai spend all day exploring Portland and around 9pm we teleported back to Mystic Falls.
"That was so much fun" I exclaim.
Kai chuckles "I know right?"
"Anyways I'm gonna go make dinner"
"Ok"

After dinner me and Kai both go back to our rooms and I lay down and drift to sleep.
I wake up tied to a chair. I look around and see a figure coming towards me but their face is unclear. After I while I can clearly see the face, its Esther. Its my mother and she's holding a whip in her hand. The same whip she used on me years ago.
"Wha- mom?" I say
"Hello Andra" she says in a calm tone which scared me even more.
I try to break out of the ropes but it doesn't work, the ropes weren't even vervain or wolfsbane why couldn't I escape.
That's when it hit me I wasn't a tribrid in here, I was just a were-witch with an untriggered wolf curse.
I was that helpless girl 1,000 years ago.
Mom starts to hit me and call me names while I scream in pain and then I hear another voice call my name.
Kai POV:
I lay in bed awake because I am unable to sleep for some reason. It usually takes me a while to fall asleep after I get in bed so this is nothing out of the ordinary.
After a few hours I go downstairs to get a drink of water hoping that it will help me sleep but when I get out of my room I hear screaming coming from Andra's room. It didn't sound like she was crying out of sadness it sounded like she was in pain.
I rushed into her room and see her thrashing in her bed while screaming and crying. I run up to her and call her name while gently shaking her. After a few minutes she jumps up.
Andra POV:
I hear a voice calling my name, Kai's voice I jolt up and see Kai standing above me looking concerned.
"Kai" I say breathlessly
"Andra what happened are you okay?"
"Yeah I-it was just a nightmare" I reassure him
"Oh ok you were screaming I thought you were in trouble"
"No I'm fine, thanks"
Kai smiles "ok I'll go back to bed let me know if you need anything" he says starting to walk away but I didn't want to be alone not right now.
"Uh Kai?" I ask
Kai turns around "yeah?"
"I uh if you don't mind can you um stay with me for the night?"
Kai's lips twitch into his signature smirk "if you want to sleep with me call you have to do is ask princess" he teases while getting in bed next to me.
"Shut up I just don't want to be alone" I say while rolling my eyes
"Suree" Kai says sarcastically before wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling me in
I focus on Kai's heartbeat and drift off to sleep.

Kai POV:
I wake up around 8am and see my arms wrapped around Andra's waist and her face pressed onto my chest. I decide that it won't hurt anyone to stay in bed a little longer and I took this time to study Andra's face.
She was very pretty. She had long lashes and a small nose. Her lips weren't too big or too small and they were very plump.
Some of her dark locks fell on her face making her look angelic. I start to wonder what her nightmare was about last night. Whatever it was, it must have really scared her to the point where she had to ask me to sleep with her.
After looking at her for a while I decide to go back to sleep since it was still early.

When I wake up again I see Andra in the same position, It was 9am so I decided to get out of bed and go downstairs to prepare breakfast.
Andra POV:
I wake up and see that its 10am on the clock. I see the messy sheets next to me and recall the memories from last night, remembering that Kai slept next to me.
After I got all dressed and cleaned up I go downstairs to see Kai finish serving breakfast. He looks at me and smiles.
"Hey you feeling better?"
"Yeah thanks for asking" Kai nods and we start to eat.
"Andra, if you don't mind me asking what did you see in the nightmare, just curious you don't have to tells me if you don't want to" he blurts.
"Its ok I can tell you. It was more like an old memory rather than a nightmare, it was my mom hitting me for doing something that I don't remember and I wasn't a tribrid, I was human like I was before I turned and killed"
Kai nods "got it"
We continue talking and finish breakfast.
