Chapter 11: Fighting Against The Darkness

Now, this is starting to get too much! I felt that I wanted to fight, but then...! No, I can't lose my grip. I have to do whatever it takes to stop the invasion!

"...!?" I notice another black hooded man! Another demon!? I have no time to think but have myself to move immediately.

"Y/n!?" Leaf exclaims while having her see me moving towards him. I turn my sword into full potential, having my blade glowing windy green. The black-hooded man with his eyes fixed towards me while the civilians are panicking.

"Cleaving Gale!" My sword hangs back by my left behind.

"Nani!?" The man faces me with the timing where I instantly swing my sword horizontally back to my right, slashing him before he could get away. I smack him down, confirming with his demonic voice. "..." He's down, but then I see a knight that is defeated with a back attack. Every civilian stands back while seeing the scene where I tend to step in.

"Y/n, what the heck are you doing!?" Leaf exclaims as she and Ena catch up to me. "You can't just dash around and then...!" Leaf's words stop in the middle where the black-hooded man has been knocked out. But then, having my eyes to see his face that looks human but with his eyes that glow. That is the true nature of a demon that was out as a spy. "That guy was the impostor, but then when did you...?"

"AGH!"

"What!?" We all see the knight that got shot in the back with dark magic starts to stand up, but scream in pain.

"What's happening to him?!" The civilians stood back in fear with their eyes staring at the fallen knight now being turned with a dark aura.

"Oh god...!" Leaf exclaims while seeing having to be transformed into a demonic knight. It's bigger than the demons that we've faced. "That's...a red beast!" She explains with a horrifying tone. I have no idea that black-robed demons could try to turn people into monsters. I wanted to thank myself for having the right choice as I never knew but thinking that man could ever be suspicious.

"Everyone get back, now!" The remaining knights exclaim. The red beast with his eyes demonic red open grabs his sword from the fallen knight once turned as he starts attacking us and civilians without any hesitation. I dash back while having my eyes on the knights while trying to fend against the beast. However, they did not stand a chance against the powerful swings of his sword.

The arrow strikes at his left shoulder. Having his eyes on Leaf with her bow aiming towards him from the distance. Having him being provoked that easy, he starts running with his sword coming right at her. She is still reloading, but having to retreat away. I feel that my body is not moving but idle, seeing the knights that are being knocked out with one hit through their guard. "Medics!" The remaining knights who are still standing exclaim while the medics are on their way to the wounded. Ena who is still standing tries to help Leaf to fend against the red beast.

"Are you alright!?" A voice that I couldn't recognize or I wasn't able to remember that easy. I turn to the girl with pink hair with her medical vest. "Hang in there!" She has her medical supplies out to patch his wound to be healed.

"...Venea?" I question her.

"Y/n?!" She looks up, having my mind remember her and her name.

"Gagh!" The voice of Ena struggles after enduring the impact of the red beast's sword clashing towards her blade. I start to run up to her without knowing that we are still in the middle of the battle. I throw out Tornado Fang before having the red beast step closer to her. The tornado projectile strikes his face when he never turns to me. I start to come over to Ena as she seems hurt by heavy chip damage. I have my arms carrying her while seeing him with his sword holding up. I can't move fast dodge his vertical slash with the current weight that I'm holding right now.
